This is depressing.. And Tal'darim has pretty wide pathways. I haven;t seen PvP on it in a while, but does the basic "you can't hold the ramp with 1 FF, so you must 4gate" rule apply here, or no because the map is generally larger? (Not that that matters much, since proxy Pylon + Warp Gate..)
MC had a pretty sick game on Taldarim where he held the choke with 2 FF's versus XiaoT

Whenever a PvP would normally occur, one player should be assigned Terran and the other should be assigned Zerg. Since it's a bo7 they should switch after every set.

I am hoping for a non-4-Gate Pact that all Protoss have to sign when going up against their fellow race. I actually like long PvP games, get interesting after the 10 min mark. Oh well, they are still decent games, but like someone else already said, it feels like I'm watching PvP 3 or 4 seasons back.

And @homestory comment, thats partly because both players went 1gate tech, we didnt see any 1gate tech v straight up 4gate

I totally thought after a week of preparation for each other they would have had something interesting planned but it seems not.

You also need precision to defend a 4-gate with a 4-gate. Or to use/defend against blink stalkers. I think PvP is a matchup where you can get really punished for making mistakes with anything, and I don't think any one of the popular builds significantly are more succeptable to it than any others.

I dont think many will agree to this. ZvZ is alot more exiting then this, atleast when its only 4gate all the time. ZvZ goes to lategame ALOT more often then PvP.
TvT bland? TvT is an awsome MU, it has soooo many different viable openings. Sure, lategame is mostly tanks until the BC transition but still, alot more variety then PvP.
TvZ is a matchup that have brought us an ridicolous amount of epic games, cant see how this is depressing in any way.
PvT is probably the best, this I agree on.
PvZ aswell has tons of awsome games under its belt, PvP has 80% 4gates and it gets old quickly.
