This is a quick one folks since it was a short notice thing we put together at the last minute.
2 gold league SC2 personalities will be battling it out for supremacy in a BO5 format for a Charity of their choice, to raise awareness for a cause and drive donations.
Will your cameras be setup so we get all the facial expressions? Needs more value. It would be lovely if you were both trash talking while cats is trying to commentate.
I used to hate TB and his casting, but seeing this and hearing about the donations he will be making along with his invitational tournament, I'm starting to have some respect for the guy.

Whoa I didn't bother looking up the time since I figured it would be featured on TL, but now that I just got here.. it's nice to see Doa is also casting!

If it was intentional you'd think they'd have been rallied to a defensive point rather than just where they popped out next to the rax? Not that it matters really =)
haha Doa, TB has the fastest non-functional apm he's ever seen xD
really good fun so far, what a lovely event for a Sunday evening ^^

How is that even possible? Were you never in a low league? Do you never play team games for fun and watch some people?
They actually played well for their league... I don't know why you are taking the time solely to be critical of their play when they acknowledge they aren't the best, but they are playing publicly anyway for charity. Why?!?!

It's en vogue to shit on things nowadays
I know but still... I hope that maybe one person who comes into a thread acting like tough shit will actually realize how pathetic they look.
People should stop whining about the game quality. It was advertised as what it was, 2 people in gold league playing some games and having a bit of fun for charity. If you were expecting super high quality code s stuff from them then that's your own fault for being stupid.
The games were certainly entertaining, yes things can still be entertaining without being the highest quality of play, funday monday for example, and money went to charity so it achieved what it set out to do.
LOL stream cheating I scanned his main and saw he was making an orbital so I went to snipe it at his third and it never came. I took the xel'naga in the center and it never came to the gold, so I went to the other base and voila! there it was. I can upload the replay if you want sillies. Anyways, fun games but I don't think I'm going to be joining SlayerS anytime soon :s

Yup exactly. I found the games to actually be incredibly entertaining... especially game 3! God damn!! Awesome series, and I would love to see a rematch in the future.

Plus, people really need to learn the difference between stream sniping and stream cheating. Chat in the stream are a bunch of idiots.
People in Gold league do not have that good of a game sense.
She was either stream cheating or someone watching the stream just messaged her.
There were a lot of things that could have happened. She might have scouted the cc earlier and wondered where it went.
There is no reason to assume she cheated
She dropped her units and stimmed forward before even checking the expansion was there...
Thats not true, she didn't stim in before she saw anything, I was watching for that as stream sniping was running through my head at the time. I'd personaly say she was checking for more proxy bc's after what happened the game before....
On July 18 2011 07:24 Province wrote: Why the heck haven't I heard those casters before? Great humour and synergy!
Ya I liked them casting together, especially for an event like this where you won't see all the type of people who are looking only for the best games with the best analysis, who would just end up complaining. I can't wait to see Doa back in the GSL!
On July 18 2011 07:18 jenzebubble wrote: That was some of the worst playing I've ever seen.
You realize they are not progamers right? It's a fun showmatch between gold players, if you're watching it to see high level play, I don't think you understand what the purpose of it is.
also: it's mind boggling there's actual talk re: cheating accusations in here, joke?
On the subject of the supplydepot-line from TB in Match 1: Maybe he built the wall on purpose to funnel everything through the choke and let his tanks do their job. But the more likely explanation is imo, that he got supply-blocked at some point, grabbed a bunch of SCVs and frantically clicked as much depots as he could afford at the first free spot he could find. *g* (Just based on my impressions of his typical playing-style when streaming shoutcraft, where his building placement appears to be influenced mostly by convenience and urgency rather than strategical considerations)
I enjoyed the matches, the proxy-bc was especially fun to watch.
Thanks for watching guys, very enjoyable to play, hopefully it was fun to spectate. Thanks to Leah for playing and Doa and Cats for casting.
On the subject of the streamsniping, you cannot be serious. It was absolutely the right thing to do, she knew I had a 3rd CC but also knew it was not at the usual 3rd because she scanned it and not at gold because she had Xel-naga control. Of course it's going to close air. Do not underestimate people's game sense and categorise it by league, particularly when you play 2v2s with Drewbie XD

Trololol... Matches are already over, TB took it 3-1... GG's, thanks TB and Leah for putting this on, and for the amazing donation and fun! Hope to see something like this for other notable SC casting/personality celebs in the future!
She obviously saw the command center building earlier, went to check the natural third with her whole army and when there was none there the floating was the only possible explanation simple as that. Not forgetting that it's a charity event between two outstanding members of the community, why would you even remotely suspect it? I can't even believe I'm being trolled into explaining this to you.
On topic, the showmatch was very entertaining thanks for the games. Well played by both of you. I sense a rematch in the future I hope?
On July 18 2011 07:39 NuclearJudas wrote: Very fun showmatch. Thanks to everyone involved, and congratulations TB and his charity.
Edit: Did TB donate to Leah's charity as well, and was that planned or is he just that handsome and generous?
He is generous. He said before the matches that he will donate $50 for each of his losses to her charity, but since he just lost 1 game, he decided to up it to $150.

More fun then most pro games I watch. Thank you very much Leah and TB and I'm sure the donations are much appreciated. I demand more gold league 1v1 streams :p
Such a fun match to watch. Many lol moments. Maybe this can be a recurring theme. TB could be the Andy Kaufman of SC2 challenging all the ladies. TB Undisputed INTERGENDER SC2 Champion!!!

All those supply blocks was strictly to mess with people doing the drinking game right? RIGHT?! Great showmatch, loved it
Nice showmatch. Too bad there weren't any webcams setup. I'd love to have seen TB with a top hat and suit in front of a British flag again, totally stressing out.
