After losing a huge match in a way that you think is kind of stupid, you are devastated. It is incredibly difficult to then go do an interview right away and be a great sport. There is a reason why you NEVER see anyone interview the loser of a big match immediately after the game is over (watch the NBA, MLB, NHL whatever... they never interview losers immediately after). It just puts the player in a really tough position. It's hard to be a gracious loser when you have absolutely no time to gather your composure. There is a big difference between interviewing someone 5 minutes after they lose and 30 minutes. With 30 minutes you get time to gather your composure. With 5 minutes, all you've done is packed up all your gear and maybe watched the replay. You don't know what he's feeling so shut up. | ||
