Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

Korea fighting!!!!!!
If Non-Koreans could afford team houses and to be able to practice 60+ hrs a week then there would be ZERO difference in skill.
Uh there are non-Koreans who live in team houses and can practice as much as they want.
alot of it has to come down to dedication also tho. You dont turn on korean streams and see them playing custom games or ffas.
Well, you can also tell your parents that your a pro-Gamer and they won't say, "WTF is that?"
because parents look down on training and prefer that their kids play FFAs or custom games
"WTF are you doing practicing that build order?! you've been doing that ALL DAY! PLAY A FUCKING CUSTOM GAME OR YOU'RE GROUNDED!"
Get in your basement and practice your 1 rax FE another 100 times or you won't get any more rice for breakfast tomorrow!
MORE AIUR CHEF SO YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE HOUSE AND ITS DOINGS.
Well your children aren't going to be winning a GSL any time soon.

I did it in my own living room, downstairs neighbors said they'd call the police.

yea but you're a fool. It's cool that you are a proud Korean but your arrogance is off-putting. It's like watching Brock Lesnar beat the crap out of a young heavyweight with far less experience in mma and rubbing in the inevitable beat down in everyone's faces.
Koreans aren't better because of their ethnicity...they aren't special outside of their great and fortunate environment that they are exposed to. If Non-Koreans could afford team houses and to be able to practice 60+ hrs a week then there would be ZERO difference in skill.
holy shit, you'd be a buzzkill to watch the olympics with
Until someone can show me a report where it proves that Koreans have some kind of unique gene specific to their ethnicity that makes them better than non-Koreans at playing sc2 (hand speed/multi-tasking/reaction time) than the skill gap between them and others around the world is due to a unique environment. Starcraft is huge in South Korea. It is big money over there thus Koreans can grow up practicing because being a pro gamer is a more viable career than anywhere else in the world. The more hours you put into something the better you become generally speaking. They say it takes 10,000 hrs till someone becomes an expert in whatever endeavor they undertake. I guarantee you that on average Koreans are closer to that mark then their foreign colleagues. Being able to practice for far more hours with similarly excellently skilled players will make you better on average than those who don't. This is all common sense. So all the denial and gloating is foolish.
there is no gene yah. koreans practice harder. fans can take pride in their nations' players doing well. US fans can root for US teams in the olympics and be happy even though we have more money than every other country. jesus christ.

hey hey be nice I just want my koreans and also T-ZAIN! to win cuz they are outnumbered by over 200 foreigners in the MLG. In the GSL I always root for HUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! and of course the beast that is CHINRO because they are outnumbered as hell and are underdogs in that respect.
Bro, one of the reasons why MLG Columbus has been great so far is because the games have been so high level due to the Koreans and also because the fans just love them! so you can hate them or love them, but either way they are contributing to your fantastic entertainment!
Come on, can you really say that you are having a horrible time watching the Koreans and foreigners compete against each other? you might not like em but I think they are making everyone happy and contributing to the success of MLG Columbus. I didn't mean to come off as arrogant at all, sorry for that Sir.
I have nothing against Koreans. I enjoy watching high level play period. I just find your excessive gloating annoying especially since it's not a perfectly fair playing field if you take into account that the Korean scene is built so that Korean players will generally be a lot better than foreigners. Show some humility and respect. Act like your Korean brethren have won before. It's also annoying to see everyone argue over this Korea vs foreigner crap. Koreans are generally better overall, it is nonsensical and ignorant bias to argue otherwise.

Me too. I still watch fighting game streams/tournaments when there aren't SC2 tournaments going .. but these days that's almost never. >< - I think fighting games need some of the RTS organizers to help them out, fighting game tournaments are organized very very poorly. ><

I could believe that, Flash is just ridiculous.
Except his wrist is giving out which means he's human

Exactly, especially now since a lot of top players have SC as their full job-obviously money in it. I think if foreigners practiced as hard as Koreans they'd be just as good but they don't

You're so dumb. No, Koreans are not genetically superior at StarCraft. The vast majority of people do not claim this.
Yes, Koreans tend to do better because of more practice. So what's your point? You could say "If I practiced chess/Counterstrike/archery/whatever as much as the top competitors, I would be a top competitor!" What does that even prove? It just means other put in the time and you don't. Saying they practice more doesn't take away from them being better.
