Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

MLG has tried for the last 2 years to get Capcom games (which are the biggest games in the fighting game community) on the circuit and Capcom has shot them down. Sundance came out and said that the reason why is Capcom is afraid that MLG holding tournaments 5 weekends a year will hurt the homegrown tournament scene.

IMO the Koreans aren't dominating enough, they shouldn't lose a game EVER. ^lol you clearly do not understand the game very well. Even IDRA said that there it is very difficult to completely dominate the game as a player with near perfect consistency. And yet, the Koreans are showing that they are a cut above the rest. Don't be mad at me be mad at the stats Korea fighting!!!!!! yea but you're a fool. It's cool that you are a proud Korean but your arrogance is off-putting. It's like watching Brock Lesnar beat the crap out of a young heavyweight with far less experience in mma and rubbing in the inevitable beat down in everyone's faces. Koreans aren't better because of their ethnicity...they aren't special outside of their great and fortunate environment that they are exposed to. If Non-Koreans could afford team houses and to be able to practice 60+ hrs a week then there would be ZERO difference in skill. holy shit, you'd be a buzzkill to watch the olympics with Until someone can show me a report where it proves that Koreans have some kind of unique gene specific to their ethnicity that makes them better than non-Koreans at playing sc2 (hand speed/multi-tasking/reaction time) than the skill gap between them and others around the world is due to a unique environment. Starcraft is huge in South Korea. It is big money over there thus Koreans can grow up practicing because being a pro gamer is a more viable career than anywhere else in the world. The more hours you put into something the better you become generally speaking. They say it takes 10,000 hrs till someone becomes an expert in whatever endeavor they undertake. I guarantee you that on average Koreans are closer to that mark then their foreign colleagues. Being able to practice for far more hours with similarly excellently skilled players will make you better on average than those who don't. This is all common sense. So all the denial and gloating is foolish. there is no gene yah. koreans practice harder. fans can take pride in their nations' players doing well. US fans can root for US teams in the olympics and be happy even though we have more money than every other country. jesus christ. Exactly, especially now since a lot of top players have SC as their full job-obviously money in it. I think if foreigners practiced as hard as Koreans they'd be just as good but they don't if destiny had half the money he claimed to, he has plenty of money to stream and coach a bit less and practice hard core...

sleigh bells represents a minority of users who get very defensive over this issue. no one ever said koreans are genetically better. brazil dominates in football and yea we all know this is from the culture that cultivates such passion for the sport.
saying that americans would be just as good as koreans if they practiced and trained as hard is a pathetic as fuck excuse.

there's a reason the slayers team is ripping it up[/QUOTE]]
thats why people like idra and rekrul quit their their previous team because they can't "handle" the training schedule ey and play at their own time ey?

Yes, Koreans tend to do better because of more practice. So what's your point? You could say "If I practiced chess/Counterstrike/archery/whatever as much as the top competitors, I would be a top competitor!" What does that even prove? It just means other put in the time and you don't. Saying they practice more doesn't take away from them being better.
I am pointing this out to the fools who think that foreigners are as good or better than Koreans overall. You are a very obnoxious poster.

And just as I type that, they post the rest of the bracket

I'm not exactly an expert in halo or anything but from the very little I watched it's one of the slowest FPS's I've ever seen. Yeah it's more teamwork/communication. Everyone has a good shot so that's not really an advantage for anyone
