IGN Pro League Season 2 Qualifier 3 Day 3 - Round of 8 and On (Seeding Rounds)
Everyone in these games are qualified as of the last round (hence them being bo5's before), they play out the rest of the qualification bracket to determine seeding for the main tournament =)

thanks, I can watch this relaxed in this case :p

Yes, Nerchio and Thorzain are just battling for seeding. They're both qualified.

A much better 2rax transition from Thorzain in game 2, did enough damage and made the zerg build a spine crawler and lings. Then put an expansion up.

I love how people, including the commentator, were acting as if thorzain didn't know his tanks were sieged...
He kept his tanks sieged because if he unsieged there he would have been overrun immediately by the mass zergling infestor behind the broods.
The only option there is to keep the tanks sieged to buy time and hopefully take out the mass broods. IT was basically a lose lose situation, but thorzain kept them sieged for a chance to see if he could take out the brood lords fast enough. He unsieges, he automatically would have lost everything. He stays sieged, he has a chance.
Just thought i'd put that here as I heard the commentator horribly mis-call that situation, and hordes of noobs in chat spam it with "why is he not unsieging vs broods."

Yeah. That was EXTREMELY close actually.
If Thorzains 2 extra vikings were there sooner, all the b-lords would of died without killing as many tanks, and the big push would not have broken the tank line.
Great attack timing.

Whiteras first tourny wins as part of tt?
Sad that Thorzain lost 2-0, even tho he has qualified.

thorzain seems to have forgotten the only way to beat zerg is to use good pressure and sitting back waiting for 12 broodlords and 12 infestors isn't going to cut it.
|
theres no counter to this unit composition, nerchio wins vs every terran on EU the only ones who manage to beat him do it before he techs to hive.

Yeah. Nerchio had his "perfect" BL/Infestor army at the 17:00 mark, much faster than any zerg should be able to get it. The fact that he skipped mutalisks means that thor could of bbeen dropping anywhere on the map all game long, but he turtled
|
Clearly Thorzain is didn't want to reveal his baller tactics so he lost.
Honestly though WP nerchio, terran needs to start scanning hive/corruptors/spire to be quicker to respond with Ghost/Vikings.

Nerchio is the best z player imo in eu right now. Better than morrow and dimaga, you see his mass gaming pays off, he tech expands at the right time, and he has perfect big battle micro.

Cloaked Ghosts.

Nightend talking in chat with state.
He is either trolling on on tilt hard.

Cloaked ghosts do not beat BL + Infestors. Even if the zerg doesn't make an overseer, fungal not only kills ghosts very quickly but also reveal cloaked units. BL almost 1 shot ghosts as well due to friendly fire from tanks.
Having multiple 200/100 units instantly die isn't how to you counter BL + infestor.

Don't use cloak, just use snipe. Extremely cost effective.
That or he could have made more than one viking
