Yesterday's broadcast has had its issues. We all saw it. There are 10+ pages of whining. There is an entirely new cast going on now. Please keep whining about issues experienced yesterday to yourself going forward in the thread and allow other people to enjoy the games. |

That being said, I love the awesome games for free, go NASL! What's wrong with step 3? I hope it's just in there for the sake of chronology.

Everything there is spot on except for profit.
I think its pretty obvious they know these sort of blunders are not going to lead to a successful starleague... and will be taking measures to not repeat the mistakes.
If you're enjoying the games stick with it. Production can only get better as they figure things out.

Ugh, can anyone give a breakdown about what all the drama is about? I am so confused. Tyler raged (Just in chat?) and then a inappropriate video played? Then game 3 was played first? What was the inappropriate comments or video?

Let me just say this:
1. I am WAY against the humor displayed in that show during the intermission. I will speak on behalf of it being removed from future broadcasts.
2. This was a mistake. It's really really bad. I know the NASL is upset about it and will fix it. There is no way to go back in time.. but please know we are sorry.
3. Maps were updated. There is no legitimate argument for using the outdated maps. That too was a mistake overlooked by not consulting the pro players of the squad (me and gretorp). It has been rectified.
Some inside info:
The NASL isn't a bustling studio of 30 people. It's 5 production people and 2 commentators. We are hiring out professional help for the sound (after the problems) we consult pro's on the stage etc... but we are not some huge broadcasting company. When people say "mistakes like this shouldn't happen.. you need to watch for mistakes!" They do. They do the best they can. A lot of these guys are running off of 4 or less hours a night. Encoding, editing, doing graphics etc.. all each day after this schedule. Do they want your sympathy? No. No they do not. Do they expect better results than what we have produced? MORE THAN YOU KNOW. Nobody is more pissed than Russ and co after each mistake.
This is the first week. None of them came from a broadcasting / league background. All of them are chasing a dream and trying to do it to the best of their abilities. When we make mistakes please tell us with all of this in mind. If you STILL feel the need to say "FIRE X" or "THIS IS FUCKING TERRIBLE" then I guess go ahead and do that.
I get to wake up in the same house as these people and watch them go at it for another 16 hours each day.
It is absolutely unacceptable to make these mistakes and they will not be made continuously. As they happen they get fixed asap. In the end it makes us better. We were never planning on 1 season so we have time to fix these things. Ideally, would they never have happened? OF COURSE. Is it possible to have caught these faster? CERTAINLY. But we didn't and we are sorry. Please understand the sheer effort and work that is going into this. This league is growing and it has growing pains. It also has amateur mistakes and huge errors. All of which will be sorted out as they come up.

This has become such a breeding ground for hate and complaining. Folks, get some perspective. People paid $25 for this. Tyler got screwed by the organizers not keeping up to date on the competitive maps, they skipped 2 games of an ENTIRE SERIES. I think we have some legitimate complaints, dude. What happened in the Cloud/PainUser game 3? It cut off at the end and then they were going to Zenio/Sen. Who won?
It's pretty obvious they're going to finish airing game 3 edited together with 1 and 2 after the end of the stream...can you not wait that long?

GSL can't come sooner ^^
HD passes are reasonably priced, and they give you great quality and ad-free viewing. Also, you don't need to stay up 6 hours to watch good games.

Tyler was upset that the map was not the one he practiced on, which screwed up his midgame army of Blink Stalkers. They accidentally played game 3 of the Painuser series first.

Either there was zero time to rewatch this or the dude responsible for editing the video skimped on his duty.
I actually agree. I know it will take some time to get the kinks worked out, but i get an overwhelming feeling that this production is either extremely rushed or the production team/management behind this is very amateur. Everything seems riddled with mistakes. Every interview is cut poorly and the transitions are anything but smooth. I feel bad for incontrol actually. He has nothing to do with most of these problems and i know he's going to get attached to them in people's minds.

I thought the cheese video was fucking awesome! Major props to Inc and NASL for going out on a limb. Maybe vulgar for some of our kiddie peers, but I think a lot of people appreciated it.

... And Sen proves me wrong. And I'll gladly be wrong. GG!

Wow! Behind all game --> win?
I like yo style.

Don't you guys want the opportunity to watch your favourite pros play against each other? Instead of crying, complaining, and raging because of stuff like this, try to be a little supportive. Would you rather there be no NASL and have to sit there watching random low-masters tournaments? Personally I think it's ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS that they failed so hard and showed game 3 instead of game 1, but its really NOT THAT BIG A DEAL in the grand scheme of things. They're clearly making improvements on a daily basis. Relax, laugh about it, enjoy yourselves.
people are trying to be supportive but honestly it can only go so far before people lose faith.
