It's hard to tell whether it was a really elaborate build, trying to force the terran to overreact and get ahead just through that, or he just failed with cheese and took advantage of Goody overreacting and getting greedy.

I don't think he cancelled the expansion, he had it completed but doing nothing because the units were at his front door, that's 400 minerals that could have been marines.

Goody should have figured that after that point, Naniwa would have had very few options, one of which would have been a 4 gate. He should have played defensively instead of getting greedy.

Throwing down an extra barracks, producing some marines or marauders and then throwing down that expansion might have been more effective, not sure.

And why is everyone thinking it was a fail proxy? NaNi only failed to cancel a gate, he kept producing probes all the time. It may have been thought out.

it's funny to realize the one probe that was sitting at the watchtower that spotted goody's marine/scv push was the same probe that threw down the pylon for the 4gate and cost goody the game, if only he had just cleared out the watchtower!

4 gate tends to counter fast tech to banshees while getting tanks and expanding with five marines

To me it seemed like Naniwa was planning to cancel the nexus all along. Looked like he put it down right as the scv was leaving his base, just to let it conviniently get spotted.

Goody was being far too greedy that game, which was why the 4gate was so effective. Naniwa is being really thoughtful here. I can see why he went 26-2 in MLG.

Goody needs to stop sticking to the only mech play. I love his mech play but he's too stubborn in using it only. If he just threw down 3 barracks instead he would've held that (or even pushed Naniwa). Tech'ed way too fast.

I thought the gateways did finish? I know for certain the first gate at the very least finished, was the second completed as well? I thought it was as the SCV's were attacking it for awhile if my memory serves it right.. I know I at the very least saw it %98 done.

Second was cancelled, first one was completed.
