Just because the scope is limited to within the game and not always outside of the game(Red cards can affect participation in other games) you cannot say it's legal. Just no. It's part of the game, if a player can prevent his team from getting eliminated from the world cup do you think he'd care about getting a red card? Also, partecipation for other games is only for bad behaviour (punching, spitting, hurting someone). That was just a technical "illegal" move which is completely contemplated in the game, it does not differ from cheese in any way. If your cheese gets spotted, you lose the game. If their penalty kick scores, you are in the same situation as before but with a player less. The example is more than valid in my opinion.

Because the maps are modified so that they can only spawn in opposite+cross positions. MC actually did the mistake of scouting the wrong place in the first match. I guess someone told him about it in the meantime.

If we're ever at a point where players are just playing to entertain fans and not to win, then SC2 as an ESPORT will definitely fail. Everyone needs to stop killing MC and recognize that he did something that was very smart given the way the map was and how he saw WR play in the earlier games. Not to mention this is something that is definitely not a sure win. QFT

Remember that this is a LR-thread and that there is a lot of emotions going on here, its only a good thing i the long run. People hate on soccer/football/hockeyteams that they think plays a "boring" style to, so it is just a normal thing for an interesting sport,

http://www.sirlin.net/ptw I once played a scrub who was actually quite good. That is, he knew the rules of the game well, he knew the character matchups well, and he knew what to do in most situations. But his web of mental rules kept him from truly playing to win. He cried cheap as I beat him with “no skill moves” while he performed many difficult dragon punches. He cried cheap when I threw him five times in a row asking, “Is that all you know how to do? Throw?” I gave him the best advice he could ever hear. I told him, “Play to win, not to do ‘difficult moves.’” This was a big moment in that scrub’s life. He could either ignore his losses and continue living in his mental prison or analyze why he lost, shed his rules, and reach the next level of play.

Does anyone know the song/music during the DH hype advertisement (showing players/games/venue etc), which included a bit of epic chorus? AND NO, NOT EUROPE FFS.

Your builds are both unique and unpredictable. I was thoroughly entertained with the 4 gating and proxy gate cheeses. /sarcasm off Loved the tournament and the production value. I was laughing in my chair as I was watching. I really wish the best players in the world can turn PvP into more then 4 gate vs 4 gate. Thanks to Dreamhack for providing some of the best content I've seen in a while. I hope MLG was watching ![]() I think at some point they might, if at any time that expo build of WhiteRa becomes stable to hold. I don't think any of them want their wins hanging on by who gets the first hit in a 10 unit v 10 unit fight or making 1 too many probes. In the end MC showed he does have good brains, he played his cards perfectly in the last game, screw the entertaining game, the metagame more than made up for it. I for one can't even think WhiteRa is mad at MC now, he's probably just annoyed at himself. Just some fans that have a harder time understanding what a match is. And if this is WhiteRa's worst matchup I hate to say it but at the moment protoss are dominating. WhiteRa (and quite likely Naniwa - he needs to get a few more good players crushed tbh) in the west and MC in Korea ... All this while protoss wasn't exactly the most buffed race till now.

It's also good because balance is NEVER a factor, for obvious reasons. I love PvP in BW AND SC2.. it's awesome, especially with people of these guys' calibre duking it out. Anyway, I only got to see the semis onward, but, seemed like a great show Dreamhack, nice job. ![]()
