Incorrect. Sports should be played to win, hence there being a shitton of sports not on your main stream television because they are not all enjoyable to watch, but they are still enjoyable to play. There are only a dozen or so major sports on television whereas there are hundreds maybe thousands of sports in the world.

If you are not entertained by strategy games where people play to win then so be it. Don't come up with an imaginary statement of fact to justify your own opinions.

Can't we be sad that our favorite lost?

Being sad is one thing. Nazgul is speaking out against those who are insulting MC's play. There are plenty of reasonable posters saying, "Aw I was cheering for White Ra but grats to MC." Then there are those saying "STUPID CHEESING NOOB HE CAN ONLY FUOR GATE."

And if Starcraft ll tournament finals continue to be like this, it will go the way of one of the "hundreds maybe thousands of sports", and professional Starcraft ll gaming will disappear incredibly quickly thanks to absolutely no interest.

Props for sticking to your guns, but this kind of play is not healthy to Starcraft ll E-sport growth, and if the meta-game doesn't change, or if Blizzard doesn't patch something, I feel we'll soon be saying goodbye to professional Starcraft ll gaming.

What's healthy is White-Ra scouting properly instead of not knowing the spawn positions on the map. He could've scouted after pylon OR at least not scouted a position MC could not spawn in, wtf?

What's not healthy is telling players to only do entertaining strategies and create drama and "epic games" just because it entertains fans. It'd be horrible for ESPORTS if they used your philosophy, because then we might as well have scripted Mothership vs Mothership max out battles then.

This tournament was so awesome.
Really the best SC2 Tournament ever.

Coverage was very good, no big breaks between the games, of course very nice matches and so on.

Loved it!

Did you enjoy it when this happened?

Really, people have a right to be upset if we are robbed of a great finish yeah? But MC won grats to him.

Well said Halvorg. No offence Naz, I just think that both sides of this argument are represented well by this. MC did what he chose to to win and it worked and thats great, but I understand how one could be disappointed by that

The video show something that is illegal tactics. What did mc do that was illegal against the rule of the game?

It's not illegal, per se. Or, to be more precise, the advantages outweighed the penalty.

wat? the penalty was losing out on 15k... so how do the advantages outweigh that?

This... he calls himself (and is called) the best Protoss in the world and feels the necessity to proxy gate the last match? Lame.

if it's the best way to play, and if it's the most powerful, then i suppose he doesnt consider that playing a different build would and winning at the same time would prove he's better

Cmon he calls himself the best toss in the world because he is able to do those things in these situations!
You all dont get it...
He wins everything so he is the best toss in the world for sure!

MC caught on to Ra 13 gating and exploited the fact. It is risky but not a coin flip. It was a calculated gamble.

I'm sure MC is confident that he has the better Micro by now. However on this map Shakuras, WhiteRa can employ a variety of "special tactics" in the mid game, that I'm sure MC is paranoid with by now and doesn't want to risk dealing with it.

MC took the initiative to employ his special tactics first.

That's how I see it.

Complaining is useless,, its 15k,, i would do the same thing if i was MC,, the opinions of random people on the net mean nothing if i can get more money in the bank..

All i want to see is good games,, and in the end i was let down,, but it's silly to care so much that you have to complain about someone doing what he needed to do to get paid..

Apparently you don't play toss. Whoever has the defensive 4 gate usually wins. Also if one goes blink stalker while the other goes robo, robo wins.

Although MC won in the end, he definitely showed that he's beatable: Morrow taking a game, idra almost killing him, and white-ra winning 2 matches straight. And these are players that arent getting practice like 24/7 in team-house's.

So basically, i think MC will get into a world of hurt in the next GSL ( guessing alot of top korean players are already practicing hardcore to beat him.).

If it bleeds we can kill it:p.

I dont get why you people are getting mad at the players, its blizzards fault for making 4gates and proxy cheeses with protoss so strong, blame them. Because until they fix it it's downright stupid not to use the strongest tactics if insane money is on the line

This exactly.
Do you want SC2 to be like wrestling, or do you want to see players play to win?

White-ra played really well, he just dont seem to have the same winner mentality as MC has. MC plays to win, and exploits any weakness he can find. He mentioned in his interviews that he saw that Ra did the same strat everygame and used a good counterstrat. white-ra provides better games though.

Dreamhack, holy fuck that was a good production. I really enjoyed the swedish stream, the studio, the interviews the general smoothness of this tournement. Aftonbladet had nice commentators, only avaiable for those who understands swedish. The host was awesome, many high quality games, so im looking forward to next dreamhack tournement, where if I understood it correctly both MC and Ra has a wildcard now
