Who's denying it was smart? Do you think it's strange to get upset when the well mannered guy who wouldn't think of all-inning, is up 2-0 against a player with an aura of invincibility and then loses to 3 all-ins in a row?

Yep, and thats why MC avoids the strategic part of the game and just cheeses his way to the win. Srsly, I just couldnt respect MC before and I disrespect him even more now. He didnt deserve this win today.
If White Ra was the one who cheesed, you'd be raving about how brilliant of a move it was, and it was his special tactics or whatever. The one sided favoritism in these threads is just so hilarious.

And can you avoid making generalizations about the most popular sport in the planet? Any sport with that number of players will have a number of poor sportsmen and cheaters. On top of that, it's really hard to officiate, but people still watch and are entertained by the games.

All the credit in the world to MC, he's a complete baller. Also, WhiteRa gained a ton of fans today, no doubt.
Sadly, the final game was a let down in my eyes. Very exciting series, and while the final proxy 2-gate was a smart strategic play, it was not an highly entertaining finale to the DreamHack invitational I would have hoped for.
Again, all the credit to MC for the smart play, 2-0 come-back, and props to WhiteRa for being the charming / well mannered player that we all love.

Yep, and the "counter weight" would be matt "zalmah" or something like that.

I was trying to post the same thing but couldn't word it properly. agree 100percent with what you and nazgul have been saying. great games are great because we know the players are doing whatever they can to win and if it reaches the late game stages it makes the game that much better.
MC did what he needed to do to win and that is how you become a GOD-toss. He certainly did not cheat. Did I want White-Ra to win? Hell yes! (Would have made a great story) Am I angry that that MC won? Hell no! The guy is a champion in game and out. So Congratulation MC! And thank you for all the great games to all competitors.

Did you enjoy it when this happened?
Really, people have a right to be upset if we are robbed of a great finish yeah? But MC won grats to him.
Well said Halvorg. No offence Naz, I just think that both sides of this argument are represented well by this. MC did what he chose to to win and it worked and thats great, but I understand how one could be disappointed by that
The video show something that is illegal tactics. What did mc do that was illegal against the rule of the game?
Holy fuck did you just show me an example of cheating to compare the situations?
My IQ just dropped to 50 trying to understand your point. These situations are NOTHING alike. Trying to win and trying to win by cheating are two different worlds buddy.
Actually, it's not illegal. You get a red card and a penalty and that's it. In football if there is an attacker running alone and the last defender can't catch up, it's usually advisable to foul him. You get a red card, but they will just get a penalty kick. What he meant is that it's anti-climax I think, it would be "cheating" only if the ref hadn't seen it and even that would have been considered something you just have to use (as it can go both ways).
What's illegal then ? What brings out the police ?
It's only cheating if the ref doesn't see it (Maradona's hand of god... or Messi's if you want a more recent example). That one was fully within the rules of the game.

Scroll back 50 pages, or in time metrics, 5 minutes, and you'll find alot of people bashing MC. I think it was just heat of the moment though.. or atleast I hope so.

because it's the only position u can spawn in maybe ???
seriously learn the maps they use in tournament play lol
Wow... thats pretty awful then that Whitera thought it was possible to spawn in different locations. Because in that case, that cheese is not viable at all and he would not think to scout for it.
That final game was ALL about Whitera not knowing that version of Shakuras Plateau...

This has nothing to do with "manners"! Had White-Ra all-in'd when up 2-0 to win the tournament, everyone would be cheering WhiteRa for dominating MC.
The only manners concern winning 15,000.
eSports have very well defined rules and algorithms to prevent cheating. There was no cheating here. Just great play.
