that totals 9 maps, therefore, each party can veto 1 map if the finals is a bo7... if its a bo5 then both individuals can veto 2 maps.
Thumbs up to this pool suggestion.
I may even sign up if the maps are made to something non-terribad.
Well, keep watching this thread. I'm hoping to get the pool updated by at least the end of the week.
I'm going to speak to some people tonight or tomorrow. I don't really see any issue with changing any ladder maps to their MLG equivalents. However, I am a little skeptical of adding non-ladder maps to the pool because some people do not have practice partners to prepare with.
I'm also not really opposed to removing shit maps from the pool.

They had two projectors last tourny so everyone could watch and there were several live casters that made the tournament extremely spectator friendly and I imagine they'll do the same or do something even better :D

most players that will go will most likely have practice partners or friends to check out the maps. the maps don't really have anything to abuse on them, they are just good standard maps. for example, testbug, the only thing to know about it is: it is huge there are 3 spawn locs there a shit load of expos the golds have rocks on them there are 4 xel naga towers (1 in middle 1 outside of each base) the ones outsode of each base have destruct rocks and can only be atked by a certain number of units @ one time (like 8) the map is insanely baller.
as for crossfire, if i'm not mistaken it used to be an old ladder map in the beta.
Just signed up, tho when I was paying on paypal I accidentally missed filling in the "Full name and char code" because I got antsy and sent it b4 reading over everything. I have registered for a TeSPA tournament previously though however, and if there are any questions about which payment is mine please contact me via PM on TL or in game or phone number or however.
Don't mean to be a pest, but still waiting to hear how the top 8 from last tourney seeding is going to be handled

Thanks for letting us know, that shouldn't be a problem.

The top 8 players from the last tournament will be automatically seeded (1-8) into the on-site RO64 bracket if they register for this tournament.
Map Pool The original post has been updated to reflect the changes in map pool. Thanks everyone for the input. We have given the map pool a lot of discussion and feel like we have reached a very good balance of maps.
Top 8 Seeding Also, I've updated the original post to explain how seeding will work for the players who finished in the top 8 at our first tournament last November. Those players who did finish within the top 8 will not need to participate in the online qualifiers and will be automatically seeded into the RO 64 in Austin.
Thanks to everyone who has signed up already! Registrations are coming in steadily. Be sure to register if you are planning on attending.
On another note, we have secured a room solely for casting and spectator events. Things are shaping up quite nicely on all ends!
As always, if anyone has questions, feel free to post here or e-mail any of the our coordinators.

Yep, I've already taken note of that. I'm loving the changes. If MLG doesn't update Shakuras by the time our tournament starts, then we will use Blizzard's changes, but I'm sure MLG will update it by the time MLG Dallas begins.
So yes, the maps will change along with Blizzard's changes.
