Unfortunately I had to face binski in the first round. But I like to think I made up for it by winning all the raffles

I was sad the technical issues put the event so behind schedule and I couldn't stay for the final, but other then that, the event was well run. Tespa is such a young organization and I think it has a great future ahead of it

I'll put together replays tonight or tomorrow depending on how much hair I pull out over school work. Whoever I spoke to from Gosu Gamers who needed the finals/semis, feel free to email me for them tonight (calder.j@gmail.com)

Here's a video created by The Daily Texan, the campus newspaper at UT, covering our online qualifiers. It's a nice overview of e-Sports for the average person.

For everyone who attended, here is a quick survey we're looking to have participants fill out so that we can improve future events. If you could take a couple minutes to give us your thoughts, it would really help us.

So here's my problem with this, and please nobody take offense:

It's obvious some of the better players in the bracket did not attend the LAN event last time, and as such some seeds from #4-#7 contain players who are not as good as some of the people seeded below them. It is because of this that the bracket appeared "stacked" at one point in time. Now however, original seeding is no longer being applied. For instance, I've essentially dropped from a #3 seed to a #4 seed, because assuming higher seeds advance Id have to face the #1 seed in the semis instead of the #2.

Furthermore that image above does not describe how binary beast determines " seeding based on team rank in as fair a manner as possible to accommodate all teams". I would like to see how it calculates that.

Edit: To further clarify my point: by saying the original seeding was kept, but just a different method of arranging the brackets was choosen, is to me the same as essentially changing the seeds.

Sorry for the delayed response, I just noticed this.. we have a small wiki page that defines the differences in seedings if you'd like to read a better description with a couple of examples:
