But seriously, this format is much better than the normal GSL, somehow Teams make you feel more attached.
In theory they can if in the next GSL season they can surpass ZENEX, or was it Slayers? Liquid is 9th in team ranking, if they can get into 8th place they technically qualify to participate, though with only so many players I'm not sure how that will work. They might just stay as a support for oGs. Would be absolutely awesome to see liquid but do they have enough players to compete.. They don't, considering a Best of 9 series would require at least a minimum of five available players. It wouldn't be hard for them to fly out Tyler and TLO for a 3 day tournament...
yes but in that case they would be almost required to win or they would lose too much money on that trip right? I mean an airplane ticket all the way to korea must be expensive

It was an amazing grand finals, ST did their best, IM had rather a heavy bumby ride before wining. Thanks gomtv, thanks Artosis and Tasteless. IT WAS EPIC!!!!!!!! I also really enjoyed MVP's attitude at the end of his game. You could tell that he was feeling more joy than despair because he knew he had just played the most epic PvT yet played in SC2. They had a camera shot of him a bit after his army got killed, and his smile lit up the entire room. Heck, the celebratory manner MULEs right before his GG was just icing on this sweet, delicious cake of awesome.

I've started to really get bored of watching the game lately however tonights finals turned that all around. These new maps actually make it worth watching again. Seeing more than just some gimmicky timing push after timing push was really refreshing.
Instead of rather playing twice I rather see them invite more teams and have all the teams play each other once. Top 4 then go into a championship bracket like BW PL Winner's League Finals.

Remember they have a sponsor.. TLAF would surely do the effort if they would reach the finals, it would be good advertisment for them imo..

Can only be very satisfied with this GSTL, followed every game on stream or VOD's and enjoyed it completely. Todays finals were just the peak of something that have been growing for the last couple of days.
Loved the all kills, loved the less known players showing up their skills and the "drama factor" with the entrance of the superstars into the booth to solve things in favor of their teams.
Couldnt ask for more and high hopes for GSL and all the tournament scene to consider more new maps to be injected on all events (theres already some attempts going on wich is good).
Peace.

GSTL has been for only 4 days.
Just think how epic it would be if it was for about 3 weeks with a magnificent final with a huge crowd with some epic smack-talk between the final between the games.
I love the "ordinary" GSL but GSTL is something that GOMTV really should consider to show more. Hey, maybe even cut down 1 or 2 tournaments of GSL and add GSTL instead?

Wasn't it tonight when tastetosis talked about how mothership will play a big part in the future of pvt? It seemed so long ago.

Besides foreigner runs in the GSL, which don't really count, this was by far the best night of SC2 I've ever watched. The maps and team league make such a big difference it's absolutely unbelievable.
To me this is honestly the biggest thing to happen since beta was announced.
What GOM needs to do is switch to the BW format...like right now.
That Bo9 was so epic. I'm actually going to be thinking about and maybe re-watching those games.

Awesome Games!! Now all we need is more teams and better players in the remaining teams .. so we can have a better team league format instead of a knockout grid from the start. The GSTL really really gives hope for the future of SC2. Damn!

Appears I missed something really epic because I forgot to tune in today What was so epic in the finals? Bried summary?

Haha so true, great mannered mvp. Love also the dance ceremony between Loisira's zergling and Bomber's marines. I'd never see those weird, funny, intense moments in CW in France, and Europe. Sure will be impossible without this money from Blizzard and those freaking prize pool. But Korea just proven us they still have the best sc2 scene!!!!

can someone tell me the difference between Xel Naga / Meta Blizz version, and the modified ones? o.O

Long, long back and forth action packed high tech games with brilliant tactics that were still dead even at 25-30+ minutes even though there was action almost non stop.
Game #6: Epic drama Game #7: Epic TvT macro game Game #8: Best SC2 game I have ever seen. See above.

Pretty much everything?
It started out with some decent enough games, back and forth with each team winning a couple, then we got some Disses and BM fun, then the game quality really escalated and we got arguably 2 of the best SC2 games to date on some of the new maps, and finished up with the series going to the Ace match (game 9). Just a perfect series really =)
