lol at the comment "don't try to kill the game", without any tech he was barely ahead since rax units rape so easily gates. Furthermore, i think sSKS just missed the force field he wanted to use to cover his retreat, that's why he tried to take a winnable battle (which would have give him the game if it worked).

Hyperbole a bit but valid point... Also Polt showed more skill than Tester expected, I think...
That was zerg-level decision making on choosing when to attack.. Very good from Polt imo.

You basically always have to engage a gateway army(with sentry's) out in the open. Or you will lose if he has good sentry control. This makes the matchup so hard for a terran going up against a protoss that doesn't engage. They just turtle up, and you can't engage in a choke because of forcefields. Then they get this 200/200 deathball with collosus and templars and there is almost nothing you can do.

Because anyone can move-stop micro, but Polt is maintaining excellent macro while move-focusing down stalkers with half his units and move-stopping the other half away from the zealots. That's the impressive part.

To be fair, Tester was waaaaay ahead at that point and if he wouldn't have just thrown free kills at polt for the next 5 min would have been able to roll in with a 200 army when Polt was around ~120

don't get how tester can be a total genius first and then just die like that.

by now people should now that you can't engage mm with concussive and stim as if it's going to just work out. it never does.

I don't think people should be too hard on Tester. He did a mistake yes, but everyone has to agree Polts micro was surprisingly good. Managing to keep all the zealots slowed while focusing down the stalkers.

doesnt change much without sentrys or overwhelming numbers. guardian shield makes rine dps a joke(and rauder on zealot dps too) and forcefield simply is THE key to beat bio


running in pure zealots or maybe a stalker all alone again and again was like the worst thing he could do.

exactly. wouldve taken like ANY bet on tester after his first attack. he 100% threw the game away in a horrible way. there was no way to comeback for polt if tester just chilled and defended against any attacks or drops.
