The Jinro vs Idra series was a huge disappointment. This was the first time I stayed up to watch the games live and they were garbage.

I'm left wishing MC and/or Genius advanced.

They need better sound proofing... It didn't affect idra vs jinro this game but it had to have happened other games. During secret drops or runbys maybe or something. That totally pisses me off that they would let something like this happen without throughly testing the booths and headphones beforehand.

I would be more pissed, that other players didn't say a word about hearing commentators.
Nothing to add.

They should of course fix it, it should not happen at all. I mean it will mess up the players minds. Imagine if you hear that in th emiddle of a game, what will you expect? Drop, tech switch, harass or all in attack icomming?

I mean a player might change his gameplan or do something drastic, or perhaps block a drop etc due to that so either way, its unfair.

great day, refreshing to see these matches b go so far from the standard we're used to.
very entertaining overall, and imo, the mistakes that happened were mostly due to overthinking the situations because of the insanely high level all these guys play at

I don't agree entirely with people saying that it didn't affect Jinro. He might not have scouted it and not reacted accordingly. However, because he had his 'oh crap' moment before the zerglings actually got to his base he didn't have to deal with the adrenaline rush and because of that he was in a mindset that something funny might be going on. I'm sure that affected his gameplay and overal alertness.

I'm pretty sure that the delayed marine was a bigger factor than him having heard the Korean commentators though.

I don't see Nestea taking a game off MVP, let alone winning that series unfortunately.

well jinro did say he was surprised by it and fucked up his 2nd barrack cancel and canceled his marine instead. I think the main problem was that Idra is not used to 6 pooling ppl, so he didnt do a good job of spreading his units more to trap the marine.

He knew he was going to 6 pool so he should have practiced that to perfection. Too bad he lacks practice partners to practice tricky stuff like this with.

So are people going to keep saying MarineKing isn't better than NaDa still?

did you even watch the games? NaDa should have won game 1 and 3 easily, just stupid mistakes, has nothing to do with MarineKing's skill

Well gee mister, Nada made a load of mistakes and MKP didn't. I WONDER WHO IS THE BETTER PLAYER.

Nada because he can easily correct these mistakes for next time they play, while mkp would have to improve his entire play if he plays against someone who doesnt make mistakes.

Um you can say that about any player who loses. Well gee he can just correct the mistakes next time.... sorry but MKP is a better sc2 player at the moment and his tournament results in gsl and outside show that.

Sometimes you win because you played better, sometimes you win because of your oppenents mistakes.
Nada was in the lead after the basetrade. He did not siege his tanks in time in both game 1(before the basetrade) and game 3 and he went for the win instead of the draw in game 1. Such mistakes can easily be corrected.
In RO16 jinro vs mkp it was basicly the same story, mkp won because of a mistake by jinro(not preparing for a drop, which was the only thing mkp could do to win the game)

I used to hate MKP's play style. Now I'm completely appalled by NaDa's decision making. If you have better army than your enemy, but you don't lift your building in time, you deserve to lose. MPK had bigger army destroying his base, how come he saved his OC?
I don't like his marine abuse, but NaDa made the wrong move... twice in a series.

Jinro was interviewed. That is where he told Artosis that he heard the Korean commentators get loud, so he knew something was up.

I was referring to the korean interview

e: or are these just playxp interviews and not korean gomtv? I guess they wouldn't know

Dude, where did you find this interview of MKP by playxp? Link please?

I don't see MVP taking a game from nestea, did you see the game vs that toss player where nestea stops a 4gate push when he only had 1 zerg ling on the field, even artosis was sure nestea was dead, but no.. nestea defended too well and took the game.. in fact I don't see any terrans capable of beating nestea, unless cheese of course, but again this games are best of 5 which cheesing constantly is bound to failure.

The first game of Nada vs MKP just wow.. MKP has to win the gsl after this, i love jinro play and he seems a very nice guy but against mkp it will be much more difficult than winning 2-0 to MC in the groups.. Best luck for all the players may the best win , and let it be a terran this time around!

Opposite here...as much as I wish for a Nestea win, I can't imagine any zerg beating MVP in a bo3, much less a bo7.

The thing is, IMMvp and IMNestea are in the same team and fight each other very often. Nestea probably has a reason why he says that he will most likely lose.
