And I thought that it wouldn't get more exciting than Jinro's ro32 :O

Just chipping in to say I don't understand the brackets at all. Let's look at Jinro:

vs Idra Ro32
vs MKP Ro16
vs Idra Ro8
(possibly) vs MKP Ro4

Facing the same players with only a round in-between? That sucks. They could have made it so that at least he doesn't face Idra until Ro4 and MKP until the finals.

So GOM has no idea how to actually make proper brackets? Even in this double group format you can ensure players that have already played each other will not meet again at least until the semifinal.

Yeah I totally agree. Most other sports where you have a bracket like this make sure players from the same group can't meet until late in the tournament. I'm not really sure what their goal have been with the current system.

just watched the VODs after having spent the whole day dodging twitter/TL spoilers
Such amazing play by Jinro, holy hell!

I have a question though, the post game winner interviews are cut from the VODs it seems, or am I mistaking? I would really love to see those

Edit: I'm crying protoss tears but singing Swedish songs. Just so you know .

Any comments on this Jinro?

This one move almost cost you the game, and he forum exploded afterwards, but most people shrugged it off as "oh he just messed up this one time...." when force fielding is probably the most important freaking thing a protoss can do when attacking

I think they have moved them to Gomcam or something. They should be there somewhere at least.

Lol @ Artosis and Tasteless speculating that carriers could be a good counter to mech... and then they all die without doing a single thing. Not a very useful talent toi have anymore. Happy for Jinro, shame that the 2 remaining foreigners have to battle in the Ro8 though.

In big enough numbers, and with enough economy (or, if I dont scout them), carriers do REALLY well against mech.

NO, vikings do NOT hardcounter them, not with any kind of support (especially once P gets storm). Carriers actually have 10 range while attacking (the interceptors go further than the acquisition range) I believe.

Its not a bad choice, in practice games he has beaten me with the 2 stargate carrier switch several times. The biggest problem is his 3rd was slow, which vs mech it typically shouldnt be.

Dunno, mistake or didnt want to block his zealots from attacking the bunker/tanks.

It was a one gas stalker/zealot timing. That's why he just ran past the bunkers, but Jinro managed to trap him with the scv's. Or else he could hit'n'run forever

Its very cold in Seoul at the moment, and the oGs jacket is very nice. I dont wear it on TV or after games as much as I can avoid it tho, to not overly confuse people.

Man, my girlfriend bought me a GSL pass for my birthday today and made me pancakes as I watched Group D series this morning. Big congratulations to Jinro!

My heart sank when I saw MKP succeed with his back attack after it looked like Jinro had taken the game and like everyone else, I admit my expectations weren't high for the MC games. They turned out awesome and my day couldn't have started better! Big thanks also to the TL.net team for maintaining a standard of respect and decency. All of these guys play to win and its not easy to beat your friends and teammates when you know how hard it will hit them.

MC had 4 sentries, each with enough energy to force field around 2 times, but didn't drop a single one.

He seemed to have just lifted a tank, then stopped doing anything.

Interceptor range is actually 14, though obviously they'll rarely be able to utilize it perfectly

Quit being a ignorant.

Much like MC has never seen the build I did vs him before, either...

We all love you Jinro, keep doing what you are doing.

When you sit at at home throwing your hands up in the air after each game, shouting and hopefully waking your neigbour, you know that you are watching Jinro play GSL.
