Yep the observer was acctualy really good this game but then Tastosis started to interrupt his flow for no reason. He wanted to watch the big battle in the middle while both were shouting about a drop that never happened. The only reason the obs watched the phase prism was because Tastosis requested it.
Heavy macro game. I was suprised toss wouldnt use storm drops or lategame colossus. For the guys who watched MCs stream, when he would rush to storm he always makes sure to include colossus as soon as he has the amulet.

No, we'd go to games 5 & 6. Whoever ends up 2-1 will be tie-broke by their head-to-head score. (Same with 1-2)
The system isn't unbiased round-robin. There's actually a weird bit where winning Game 2 is actually the important part.
Hyperdub assured he's in Ro16 or he has to play another game to get knocked out. I like a lot of it, but there's still some funkiness that needs to be gamed out a bit.

Fast upgrades only work if you add in enough sentries - because pure chargelots are actually 100% useless vs marauders, regardless of what some lesser players around here continue to claim, they get kited into infinity.
Spread out sentries are a must, even after amulet-HTs are out. 2-3 key forcefields can make +3 zealots hit and then we would have had a completely different game.

storm kills, EMP doesnt. HT cheaper than ghosts. spread your sentry and HTs to avoid getting hit. QQ?

I don't think nearly enough terrans make enough ghosts let alone know how to use them properly. As the metagame shifts (and I think Hyperdub/Hongun's game will have a lot to do with it), I think you're going to see ghosts become a staple of terran armies vs. protoss, and TvP will move into terran's favor at the highest levels.

I do wonder if the "only play once versus a player" reduces all-ins planned to kill that specific player or what is behind this, because I remember seeing a high amount of cheese and all-ins in GSL 2 Ro64 and beyond.

The problem imo is you end up with a huge period you're relying on sentries + a small number of HTs, or no storm at all, and this can be gutted by a ghost/bio push. A few good EMPs and upgrades won't really save you - and making more sentries slows your tech even more because of how gasheavy it all is.
Comes down to positioning as well of course, Hongun didn't have his ht spread that well.

Storm takes a ton of time and money to get to, ghosts don't. Ghosts can cloak and have a regular attack and a spell-attack.
