Proxy fact on steppes = scouting fact

In Ro32, player one is the "better" player, because games 3, 4, and 5 would never happen.
In Ro8, player 2 is the "better" player.
Player 1 is a better at the time because he won. That's how competitions work. It doesn't matter how good you were a couple days before, or good you will become weeks after. Everything depends on how good you are now. If win now, you're the better player.
Wow this logic is so flawed. You dont gamble do you? You shouldn't you would get cleaned out pretty quickly.

Utter rape! Very disappointing to watch... Almost seemed like they were playing 2 different games...
Kinda strange series...

The dream has ended. =(
Oh well, at least MC will win it. HOPEFULLY. If that doesn't happen, I'll be pissed off for the 3rd GSL in a row.

by the time I came home the first 3 games were already over :/ expected the series to last much longer than 1 hour overall
Jinro probably had one of the biggest opportunities any foreigner will ever have to win a GSL season, but oh well. grats to MC, and grats to Jinro for getting so far

Jinro had a bluetooth in his beanie, but it didn't matter.

Due to some personal issues, i did not see many games prior to the RO4, but heard a lot of positive stuff about Jinro, how good he is and how solid he plays. Quite frankly, i did not see any of that today, there was not one moment throughout the 4sets where Jinro looked to have even the slightest edge. I hate when people tend to over-inflate value.

We would actually have a final worth watching. Why should they have advanced to the finals? They lose. if you lose, you shouldn't advance to the finals. It's that simple. Well, by 'should have' I mean, they are far better players than both Hongun and Rain. I realize they lost, but they are still much better and would make a better series than the 4-0 thrashing both Jinro and Rain did/will get. Ok, look. During the last BW individual leagues, everyone on the forum was ordering everyone else to desire a Flash versus Jaedong finals, because it would be the best possible finals.
The finals were bad. Irredeemably bad. The best matches by far were the MSL semi-finals. Both Flash versus Fantasy and Jaedong versus Light were much more entertaining.
Both former GSL champions are capable of performing poorly. And they proved it very recently. So let's not assume that they would have made better television had they reached the finals, especially considering that the finals haven't happened yet.

Well, sure, if you want to just make up a set of games that would never happen.
You dont play a Bo3 the same as you play a Bo5. If you cant adapt fast enough to win a Bo3, you don't deserve a chance at a Bo5 in the first place.

btw TSL.Guineapig have quit TSL so... Rain has only one practice partner.

He could have tried a complete overhaul of his play style if he acknowledged that MC is the superior player and reads him like a book. Maybe instead of calm, collected reactionary style - trying blind aggression or something totally unpredictable to catch MC off guard. Don't even practice it, just go full improv and see where it takes you. He would have probably still lost, but i think he'd given MC a harder run for his money.

But really, does extended series really show the better player? how do it know?

Whats the safest opening build for terrans? I wish Jinro had played a little more safe just like he used to. I think the best way to defend against the insane pressure from MC is by playing it as safe as possible,,,,,not by cheesing, but we will see.

LOL, because MC is in a whole different level.. you'll see that when he rapes rain.. check out jinro's others game and we are not over-inflating his skill level..

If you were pissed at FD winning the 1st GSL then there is something wrong with you
I'm a TSL fan and I'll root for Rain, just because I think Tester is still superior to MC. MC has shaky nerves, so I'm not sure about how well he might perform in the final. Regardless, the final will be more like Tester vs all oGs terrans. Both Rain and MC are skilled enough to pull anything so it will all depend on strategy choices.
Edit: I'm sorry I forgot Sangho
