No, genius. They shouldn't. Does Flash win every game? Does Jaedong win every game? Do you have any logic?

Subjective opinion, they lost to other players therefore for those matches they were worse than those. If you are indeed better then you do not lose a BOX, pretty simple. More entertaining, sure but better, not at this point in time.

I can imagine a tourney like that where the results are already predetermined coz of how, according to creatin people, some players deserve to win. Might as well just scrap the tourney, throw the players some money and have a show match. For those who actually followed the games played in the GSL both nestea and fruitdealer were outplayed, especially nestea. Fruitdealer seemed to tilt and went on some sort of all in bender but whatever, they lost and rightfully so. so no, they shouldnt be in the finals coz they didnt deserve it this time around.

Player 1 wins 2 times, then loses 3 times In Ro32, player one is the "better" player, because games 3, 4, and 5 would never happen. In Ro8, player 2 is the "better" player.

It doesn't matter how good you were a couple days before, or good you will become weeks after. Everything depends on how good you are now. If win now, you're the better player.

I think that is part of the fun of a tournament, and it would be a little bit boring if you could look at a match-up and always know who will win. But that also means that favorites can choke, and yes, that the better player might be eliminated, or that two great players meet each other while at the same time BitbyBit... err, sorry, worse players advance. Edit: Also, with regards to Greece, while they did have some luck, they also had excellent strategies designed to play to their strengths and hide their weaknesses. Just like early pressure, even cheese, can be a strategy to win. And that's what counts in a tournament: winning. That's why I don't have a problem with cheese or all-ins. If they're the only viable strategy of a "lesser" player, then that player would be stupid not to choose it, and the better player damn well better be ready for it.

So maybe we should have judges deciding who wins a game =P

Most of the training is out of the game, learning your opponents thought chain, preparing for that specific BoX, not for some "hey I have some games to play, I'll just switch around and possibly win" but actually watching those kinds of matches from your opponent mostly, noticing how he switches between games, how his state of mind changes after a win or loss and compress that in 3 games if Bo3, in 5 if Bo5. Not exactly rocket science, sports players do this since the dawn of time.

Jinro probably played a bit too predictable, and MC took full advantage of it and showed a well rounded mix of aggressive strats. I agree w/ your judgement on Jinro, but I believe that, though Rain is more aggressive, he is also more mentally unstable or shaky in his general style of play. The guy just got flamed everywhere and he somewhat DEPENDS on his team mates to come up with strategies. Of course it's legit to get help from your team mates, but this Rain-dude just looks like he has no clue whatsoever. You can see that he lacks the years of professional gaming compared to the other contenders. I presume that Rain will completely crumble in the finals. On top of that: MC now got Jinro to practice with! :D

By my logic, a person that wins a BoX is probably the better player at that time against that particular opponent, yes. Neither Flash nor Jaedong are the best players at all times, if they lose a BoX, it's because they play worse than their opponent at that time.
