Grand Final in 1 week.. Many things can happen during this week. I believe Rain will looks better than Jinro.

Anyone remember that Clan tournament they ran, where MC BM'd the other team (can't remember which), then proceeded to all-kill them? If his nerves issue is settled, Rain may leave screaming from the Finals.
Part of it was probably that Jinro & MC play each other too much, and MC just knew Jinro's style too well. But, grats to MC. I had a feeling MC was going to win, but was really pulling for Jinro. Though we still get to see Jinro in Code S in January and can root for an oGs-TL member in the finals!

Rain can still bunker rush all in.

Thats was a bit too one sided. Oh well. Still grats to Jinro for making it this far.
I'll certainly be keeping my fingers crossed for Rain. Willing to believe he stands a fair chance.

Dude. It's not just foreigners. Every day of the GSL or every big series we have trolls crawl out of the woodwork to imply match fixing or "suspicious" play. It's quite disgusting.
Anyway, well done Jinro, you made it really far and shown you are an awesome player with great potential. Code S is yours, just keep on kicking asses and improving.

Quoting for truth. MC just played better. Also big lol at the interview. Best interviewee ever!

Can you guys imagine if Fruiterdealer or Nestea advanced to the finals like they should have? We would actually have a final worth watching.

It was always said (from GSL1) that MC was one of the best if not the best Protoss in the world for sc2 no sorry. hes up there with genius and InCa but TesteR has always and will always be the protoss leader.
fact not opinion.

I don't understand why anything that's not a macro game is automatically cheese...
Because a certain population seems to believe any game under 10 minutes is cheese regardless of the strategy.

We couldn't have asked for a better person to represent foreign players.
We're all very proud of you!
+1, wp.

iirc jinro hadnt been early-rushed for once in this gsl. I was wondering what if that happened, and the result today is 0-4

If you played the same player all day every day for practice games, and then even more than that for practicing the previous series, you're going to know what to expect. There is zero chance he knew his BO, having never found the proxy factory in g4, and having won g3 with a great timing rush and great forcefields
Sadly. Jinro was straight up beaten down by MC. As a Protoss player, my heart has been slowly stomped out as Tester has failed to qualify for two GSL's, and Genius tried to turn his back on his brosefs from Aiur. MC brings back the Protoss swagger- Finals: "Easy win"
|
so proud of Jinro, he makes me so happy :D GSL top 4 is mindblowing
and MC is gonna win GSL3 and show the power of Protoss, wuhu
|
Unless TSL_Rain comes with some never seen builds i dont see how MC can lose the finals. I think Jinro is a far better terran than Rain is.
|
MC seems like a player that can get crazy momentum. Therefore I think Jinro should have opened with the most extreme cheese he could come up with :p
Great run Jinro, hope to see you back in action soon!

I am very impressed with MC's play, but in retrospect, I think Jinro just needs to scout more overall.
The first game he probably just didn't micro very well, maybe could've prevented that with a bunker closer to his mineral line.
But the other three games, his scouting was just not enough. In the second game, a ghost would have really just destroyed the sentry build. Maybe he should've sent in an earlier scv to catch the sentries, or just scan MC's base
In the third game, okay, his reaper died so that kind of screwed him over, probably wouldn't have landed a scan anyway. That's just bad luck, though maybe he would've noticed the void rays earlier with watchtowers.
As for the last game, he should definitely have scanned MC's base. Considering MC didn't attack him early, probably should've known something was up. Also, scouting his expo area for pylons would've helped immensely.
Of course I'm not a pro gamer so who am I to talk :X Overall, very well done Jinro!

Jinro said it himself to Artosis in an interview: The other player has to respect your ability/willingness to all-in in any game. I don't think MC had this fear.
Game 1 started with a proxy fact - Did Jinro have the same plan for this game as we saw in game 4? We'll never know (unless he tells us), because he got screwed over by a few early zealots, but if he had successfully (or even unsuccessfully) went for proxy thor on steppes, I think the rest of the series would have gone drastically differently.
