If his nerves issue is settled, Rain may leave screaming from the Finals. Part of it was probably that Jinro & MC play each other too much, and MC just knew Jinro's style too well. But, grats to MC. I had a feeling MC was going to win, but was really pulling for Jinro. Though we still get to see Jinro in Code S in January and can root for an oGs-TL member in the finals! that was the brainbox team tournament, i believe that was against werra, a little flashback to his suicide toss days but this time with the skill to back it up. Man...MC amazes me....he makes stalkers look OP which is saying something.. x_X I see toss players falling left and right to early aggression/all in and timing pushes, but MC just doesn't care..lol..... My only worry for MC not taking the finals is if Tester, SangHo, and Clide develop some insane anti-MC/anti-toss build, probably centered around stopping that early aggression..after all Rain has already stated in interviews twice that his teammates have planned his games for him..

Overall it seems like the way to win GSL is to play aggressive but not predictable. As P, mix stuff up between VR rushes, DT rushes, heavy gateway pressure (3/4-gate) or proxy gateways. As T, do a thor rush, a cloak banshee rush, 3rax push, proxy rax's. Then also add the fact that you can mostly hide all those pushes by placing buildings around the map, or giving the enemy false info by cancelling buildings or so. How exactly are you gonna be ready for all those rushes? I mean, how many games have we seen MC, Rain or HongUn go past 2 bases? How many games has MC openened the typical "safe" build, 2/3gate-robo, getting an observer out, scout and adapt? Zero? A cloaked banshee would've raped half MCs builds, but instead MC forces adaption upon the opponent by playing agressive himself. Obviously Jinro made it to the semis so we shouldn't count that way of playing out yet, but it just seems so dependable on getting perfect scouting info done. And from what I've seen FEing has been a huge risk most GSL, people are too good at busting them with timing attacks.

Well, by 'should have' I mean, they are far better players than both Hongun and Rain. I realize they lost, but they are still much better and would make a better series than the 4-0 thrashing both Jinro and Rain did/will get.

It takes more than being better--it takes being better at the right time. Just like with MC and Jinro. We all see their beastliness now, but the first few seasons it just wasn't their time yet.
