that 1 map is also only good if you're not in close positions...the rest of the maps, you're 100% in bad positions...ridiculous.

There is no need to trashtalk a player just because he beat Ret. Good luck on your match with... MVP. ^^

This. You see a 1 base all-in, why not invest in a few more spinecrawlers and be absolutely safe.

TBH when ret loss those roaches and saw that rush coming, I thought he would've got like 4 spines.
Two spines wasnt enough.

This guy commentating on foreigners reaching korean pro level play when he just all-inned and won vs a foreign guy thats miles better than him, oh the irony..

This is like saying that McDonald's should be allowed to put arsenic in its burgers because one person didn't die from it, even though the other 99 out of 100 did.

(G) how to succeed in sc2 ? 1. Pick T 2. learn 5, 1-2base all ins, go win GSL Protip: last two winners of GSL were both Zerg. On Topic: Sad to see Ret go out, but I couldn't fault TheBest's play, it was relentless and brutal. Protip: last two seasons, zergs were able to downvote maps. Ret was clearly outplayed in the last two games. TheBest had strong harass, forcing Ret out of his usual (and beastly) macro style. What won TheBest the last game wasn't the map, it was co-ordinated harass with the hellions, sniping the queen and getting that viking to take out the overlords.
Saying that the maps were the main reason for the losses is a cop-out, and frankly, insulting to both players.

Terran did some very smart things in that final game, accompanied by some impressive multi-tasking and micro. No need to sell him short. The viking/marauder pressure timing was incredibly effective.

i hope gomtv is going to reconsider giving the players a veto for the maps. because this system is crap, like the maps that blizzard made. i hope gomTV invites professional korean mapmakers for the GSL 2011, this was mentioned in SotG and this has to be done.
This is kind of a contradiction, considering FruitDealer won even with the maps stacked against him. Your fault for not picking him. ;/

That was a very good game, TheBest's harassment control was very good, dropping at natural while pressuring main with a very good unit mix in game 3, I hoped Ret would win, I think that little drone surround he tried to do at his ramp has cost him the game, he should have just move back a little, he had banes still at that moment too.
Ah well, gg, very good game!

So annoying.
On balanced maps Ret would have beaten that opponent all day long.

Now that's a bummer... Pretty sure FruitDealer just won on what would be a "terran-favoring" map. Ret knew what was coming and didn't defend. Simple as that. Haters gonna hate...

Whats up with the no veto thing anyway? Why was it removed?

Do you even play Starcraft? Maps are so central to race balance and we all know that Steppes and Jungle Basin are very difficult for Zerg.

Mmmmm angry fanboy tears...they taste so sweet.

This one base bullshit is really getting old. I sure hope the game evolves beyond this. But it's getting hard to see shittier players beat better ones because certain races and almost all maps favor one base play or hyper aggressive play.
Zerg just can't abuse the maps the way the other two can.
LOL he just said foreigners will be at korean level soon. IMO ret is better than this kid.
I know I know a bit of balance/rage/whine/ in this post. But I feel it's valid. Our liquid boys are losing to some bullshit. Maybe liquid should be an all terran clan ;D
Obviously kidding. Get em next time Ret.

The only thing people should be whining is the mappool. It's stupid from GSL to eliminate "veto map" system.
The people wanting terran to get nerfed (again) are pathetic. Terran race is build to be aggressive, blizzard already nerfed tanks, reapers, barracks (supply depot needed) and BCs. Terran go mech and win ... whine, terran go MMM and win ... whine.
