I think korean protoss needs to learn to play the damn race instead of all this 3gate pushes they do. Take a lesson or two from Socke Yeah because forge fast expand is a 1base all in right? But lets not have that over shadow your amazing feat of figuring out what all Korean Protoss's are doing wrong *rolls eyes*

Yeah. I think top korean protosses are way better than socke.

Fast expand? So you say that building cannons and pylons in your opponent's nat is fast expand? There was no friggin nexus and you call it FE? Rearrange your sc related terminology plz.

Which is why Socke can't even secure a top finish at the much lower skill MLG Dallas? Korean protosses are playing the way they do because it's currently what works best.

He was clearly going for a forge FE, you can tell it by the pylon/forge placement. Then he scouted the 14hatch in clos pos and went for it.

The entire build is meant for a fast expand, but when you see the opponent has idiotically gone for a 14 hatch where as you have already a forge out, why wouldn't you just take your free win?

I can't figure out whether you're trolling or just being ignorant. Every build has its place, and depending on what your opponent does, it can either put you in an winning, advantageous, equal, disadvantageous, losing, and everything else inbetween. You said that at high level cheeses don't work.. which is ridiculous, there have been numerous 6 pools and 2 rax all-ins w/ SCVs in this GSL as well as previous ones.
Going for a 14 hatch on extremely close positions when they've scouted, you've got to assume aggression, simply because it will counter your FE build. Cannon rush, marine all in etc. Same goes for a Terran who blindly 14 CCs against Zerg on close positions. Anything under a 10pool would be almost instant win.

Ow please ...
It was planned for FE, just look at the positioning of his first pylon. He did end up cannon rushing since he saw a window of opportunity there.
Actually it's a really good idea from HongUn, whenever he saw an opportunity like that he can easily cannon rushing, otherwise he can sit back and FE-ing. I like the idea but I don't think I can pull this one easily, not at my current skill.

Placement is one thing, but I remember epic matches vs Sen and Jinro in MLG, showing Socke's level of play to be very solid, GSL kind of solid.

It just didn't make it that far its cannon contain he needed to see if there was a counter attack if there wasnt he could have thrown down his nexus. Zerg just went all in counter attack instead of going to expo elsewhere. You dont build your forge at the bottom of your ramp if your not planning to FFE.

Lol you know the only reason Inca has made it deep into GSL1 and 2 is because of his micro its like saying Idra is bad at macro and Nada having terrible game sense. But of course you'll just call all top protoss players trash and note them undeserving of their success.
