The dude made a thread that allowed tons and tons of people to watch this event that wouldn't have been able to; and you say he shouldn't have made the thread at all. The world doesn't revolve around you and you imaginary rules man.

Obviously he is one of the top players right now. He qualified for everything, where is NaDa with his 500 APM? (no offence to NaDa, game is pretty crazy atm!) There is no distinct best player in StarCraft 2 right now, they all developing, they have to develop because there is so many good players. Anyway entertaining value is amazing!!! And Kyrix is pretty monstrous, you have to really be cool to hold off his pressure and be able to expand as BoxeR did. I just started following Starcraft2 two months ago (didnt follow BW) and I'm lovin it!. ps. Fav players: Genius, SlayerSBoxeR and Kyrix, I guess Kyrix must win now! ![]()

Do you seriously think that if "the dude" hadn't made this thread nobody else would have? You call a few shitty, lazy lines something from a Gift Horse? If the dude is going to snipe the thread hours before the tourney started to do the most half-assed bare-minimum job possible just to have his name on the first post, then grats to him I guess! But man does it sure suck for the community!

But man does it sure suck for the community! The point here, is that this guy made a thread, that was made solely to help people find a re-stream, and let people know the event was going to happen. That purpose was met. Just because you think that things should be added to the OP, doesn't mean that the threads original intended purpose was not met. What if someone else HAD made the thread? What if it had results but no re-stream to find the games and watch them? There's no way to know what would have happened. You should be happy with what you got, not unhappy with what you didn't. Because you have no idea what else you would have gotten instead. Hell you might not have gotten anything. Be happy you got something at all. Don't act all entitled and start defaming the OP.

You highly underestimate the TL community. Do you actually believe there would be a scenario where out of thousands of fans of this site, nobody would post restream info? I think you fail to understand that TL is a community, not just some random forums like Blizzard's SC2 forums. Standards for posting aren't imaginary rules. Browse through the Closed Threads section and see many such tourney threads with shitty OPs that were disposed by the admins. This one managed to get away, but if this event were an important GSL/OSL/MSL event, you can be sure that you'd have hundreds of people shitting all over him in a heartbeat!

You even admit that you're shitting on the OP... Literally flaming him now... Because he forgot to update the thread with results. And then you state that everyone should be flaming him because he forgot to update with results..... For all you know the poor original poster if dead, and you're flaming a dead man for not posting updates. I really have to say it again: Feel entitled much?

OP posts because no one else made the post, so everyone can discuss a match before hand. Many times, I want to hype a match, but there's no thread started, so I have to shut my enthusiasm. I thank whoever makes the thread, updated or not. If someone else want to update, he/she is free to make his/her own posts, and make it early enough so 1) others shouldn't have to make another one and 2) so that people can discuss the posts asap.

For normal users, don't expect anyone of us to update ours. Trusted mods who fail to post the thread early enough, are free to make a new thread, who's stopping you.

If someone else want to update, he/she is free to make his/her own posts, and make it early enough so 1) others shouldn't have to make another one and 2) so that people can discuss the posts asap. The TL StarCraft 2 Tournament forum is moderated and the admins would never allow what you propose to happen for the following reasons:: 1) If everybody is allowed to make a new thread every time they felt like it, the forums would be filled with multiple threads on the same topic. The result would be garbage, like Blizzard's forums. The strength of the TL SC2 Tournament forum is that each tournament has a consolidated thread for easy access to information. 2) Given that the admins only allow one post per tournament event to exist, telling people to post earlier and earlier and earlier is a slippery slope. Do you really want to force people who want to make quality threads to have to play the sniping game? It would get to the point where the minute after GSL RO64 Day1 ends you'd have to make the Day 2 thread or risk having some shitty poster snipe it. Better to have it the way it is now: Make a thread if you think you can at least give it the default quality (match results, link to live stream and vods/replays if they exist), and if you're too lazy then leave it to somebody else. Nobody is telling you to go hog-wild with pictures, star ratings, and interviews (though the best posts do, and they are a treat), but at least do the bare minimum. There are tons of people in the community who will gladly do it, as is demonstrated every day.

Seriously, the one reason why TL is such a great community is because the members have high standards. Go look at this example, read through the comments including the last post, and then click on the link in the last post by the admin that leads you to a better example. Example of Shitty OP, closed by admins: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=165509 OP that replaced it, linked by admin on last post of prev link: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=165676 That one was deleted because the OP promised to do something but didn't follow through. Get a life man No, that one was deleted because the poster had a history of making shitty OPs for tournament events and people caught on and got sick of him ruining it for everyone. Hence my original post telling this thread's OP to post better threads in the future or leave it to somebody else. Also, most OPs here usually get made because nobody else made it yet. But sniping the creation hours earlier than everybody just to get your name on the first post is lame as hell.

Anyway, I'm one of those who think the Mods are abusing their power and I'm also not interested in this conversation. Later.

Normal users who don't see any "quality" thread started should be able to start one without being expected to update. An example of solution is to have a certain time limit. There are times the game has started, but still, no thread in sight, and everyone else is too afraid to get flamed if they start a not-to-be-updated one. Anyway, I'm one of those who think the Mods are abusing their power and I'm also not interested in this conversation. Later. You don't want mods to have power, yet you want to give them more power by making them enforce time limits and shit. Ok.
