Liquid'Tyler managed to work his way all the way up in the losers brackets to semi-finals. Faces Painuser and goes 2-2 with him. And is considered the loser because they had faced earlier in the tournament?

The difference is massive(No hit indicator through objects/walls always stood out in my mind) Watching that MLG MW2 stream was painful, I could see the clunky console controls and the hit indicators through walls. I don't even want to mention the blatantly bad tactical decisions but watching someone score a kill then sprint around the corner only to successfully prevent the tiles on the wall from having bullet holes was only bearable the first time. Unfortunately the NA market is big on consoles and they are more culturally accepted forms of gaming, so marketing influences what we see. no dude it's the flavor of night clubz and lipstick

The National Championships are a special invite-only event for the top 8 seeded teams. I'm sure they'll up the SCII prize money next year, or at least keep it at around $6,000, which would be more than Halo unless that also gets a raise. Ya, difference is there are 30 players that can compete for top 8 for SC2, theres only like 12 teams that ever compete for top 8 in halo. The halo brackets are bigger than the SC2 brackets. You completely misread that. I definitely didn't, it was a stupid comment. Just because there are dominant teams doesn't mean there are only like 12 teams. Stop being PC Elitists.

Right, but if its 4 players per team, the top 8 would be 8x4=32 So 48 competing for top 32 vs 30 competing for top 8.
