You just have 7 people speaking simultaneously and things blowing up lol. :[ That's kind of the how it is i guess, i play/follow halo as well as sc2 and it's actually pretty exciting, although i can see how it can...confusing/obnoxious. I guess if you know what's going on, it's actually pretty cool to see how well they communicate and process all that information so quickly. Fair enough, Yeah I really don't know anything about Halo so I was just confused. Using the same basic principles as Counter-Strike, people die. I am more surprised that half the winning team looked like 13 year olds....that's not cool.. the sad thing is that there are younger pros. I believe the youngest pro was 13, lol. ... pretty sure youngest SC:BW pro was younger than that, or same age.

If you stop watching now you're not hurting Blizzard or battle.net. You're hurting MLG, who's completely innocent in this.

Liquid'Tyler managed to work his way all the way up in the losers brackets to semi-finals. Faces Painuser and goes 2-2 with him. And is considered the loser because they had faced earlier in the tournament?
Wat? Well if he hadn't lost previously he would have been in the winners bracket, and if there were no losers bracket he would have been out of the tournament.

The National Championships are a special invite-only event for the top 8 seeded teams. I'm sure they'll up the SCII prize money next year, or at least keep it at around $6,000, which would be more than Halo unless that also gets a raise. Ya, difference is there are 30 players that can compete for top 8 for SC2, theres only like 12 teams that ever compete for top 8 in halo. The halo brackets are bigger than the SC2 brackets.
Top teams dont fight through ti, and once agian, NOBODY in the open bracket competes for top 4.
Once agian theres only 20, even out of 256 teams, that ever compete for top 8.
In MLG, there are 30 people out of 128 that ocmpete for top 8.

What happened to the whole "We're gonna cast some replays while we wait" thing?

Day9 vaguely said that there's an issue with the connection between the MLG venue and the Bnet servers in LA, that's what he's referring to.

Put incontrol infront of the camera with a mic to buy time, I'm sure that'll be hilarious

The room is getting emptier by the minute.

They said there's a problem with communication between Dallas and Battle.net, not that it was on their end, in fact they implied that since the stream is working fine and that uses the same internet, that it's pretty obvious it's Battle.net.

Okay so to end one stupid debate in this thread...
Microsoft went out of its way to compare PC and Console gamers on the same game and even with significant handicaps... Console gamers COULD NOT compete with PC gamers. It wasn't even close, despite everything that was done to try to give Console gamers a chance.
http://www.rahulsood.com/2010/07/console-gamers-get-killed-against-pc.html
I couldn't find the original story, but they gave handicaps to Console gamers that would make Console v Console matches imbalanced, and PC gamers won easily.
