It is. They had no shows at MLG DC so they had the wow players fill in, most of whom don't play SC2

So this is how they punish us for not paying for it? I just payed $20 for a month long tournament. Why would I pay $40 for one that lasts a couple of days?
Screw it, i'm going to bed. I hope I can see some vods.

Is there anybody who actually paid for this?? if you did ... you got screwed

The last patch is pretty depressing for terrans so that must be why he decided to, he was practising more with zerg lately it seems, and it was a good decision imo. Too bad he had to ONLY play mirrors against very strong zergs ... no way he could take those players in a ZvZ playing terran all this time, but I'm pretty confident he could've win a lot if it wasn't for mirroring such strong players

Blizzcon isn't a dedicated SC2 event, hence the name. Don't know why people are getting so whiny over it.
They are casting a match per hour or so (aside from the tech issues). The long breaks are there for a reason, they have 4 simultaneous streams going on... They want people to have a chance check out everything else going on. The other events are there, and they have resources dedicated in that as well. No reason for Blizzard to exclude their other investments over a SC2 tournament.

Probably is, a lot of the MLG wow players are trying to get into the SC2 scene. Nadagast is pretty much the only one with decent success.

There is a good chance it was. Nadagast is also a WoW pro and got pretty far in SC2 at MLG DC. It makes sense to compete in both events if you play both games, I mean you are already buying the plane ticket might as well get a chance at both prizes.

To go around and tell huk that he should reconsider going to korea, seems like you guys already forgot he won the first MLG and going undefeated until he faced idra in the second one (not to mention the other tons of tournies hes dominated). Even the best players lose, he could have been having a bad day + pressure of a huge audience. but holy shit you guys are fucking cold just ride the wave if hes doing good yaya huk and he loses a match and tell him to basically give up his hopes of sc2 and throw in the towel.
Thank you! I 100 percent agree... People also seem to forget that the game is very young and when a patch comes out shortly before an event it takes much more adjustment for the races that did not get the buff. I feel like this is being seen in all the events that happen right after a patch. its so easy to sit back and quickly judge players when they fail when the truth is what the he'll have you done?

nice, thx

1 match every hour lulz. Thankfully, I didn't pay for this.

I've streamed plenty of SC2 tournaments before -- MLG, GomTV, etc. None of them are resource and bandwidth hogs the way this Blizzcon stream is.
Then factor in that there are half-hour breaks in-between games? Come on.
Blizzard appears to be as incompetent in hosting and running tournaments as they are maintaining quality control on their games after release.

WhiteRa took down Fenix? Hard to believe, but very nice.

I think they are, but probably only for live and/or paying audience. That would be the reason for the delays.

Thank you very much to the guy that provided the proof. Jesus. The stream was not up until 1-2 hours after the games were scheduled to begin, and many of the first two rounds were completed by then, according to the updated brackets. We were then shown a first round match of fenix vs softball which logically should have occured an hour or two beforehand. Combine this with the many results people have received from alternate sources regarding the outcome of the games that have all turned out to be true, and I find it pretty laughable that you're throwing around the term conspiracy theorists.
GOD
I can't believe I have to explain it AGAIN!
YES during the 2 hours downtime a FUCKTON of games happened! And the results were of course released! Those games will never be streamed! The Fenix vs Softball game had not result ANYWHERE! They even had to continue doing round 2 matches and put Fenix vs Softball on hold because that's what the stream was advertising during the abysmal downtime.
There was a lot of consufion because some idiot wrote Loner instead of Luffy, against HuK. It was only a practice game.
Huk vs Loner had no result anywhere either.

And here he lost to Genius and Demuslim, which are both very very good. All he showed at MLG was ONE SINGLE build order over and over again and a bunch of incompetent Protoss players not being able to defend it again and again and again.
He had a very hard time against Slush but Slush is hardly a top player and still he struggled in like 2 30 minutes games.
Then he met Idra who crushed him in 10 minutes.
Now Select met an actual good Protoss and lost of course. Then he met an actual good Terran and lost.
I am so tired of reading how good Select was at MLG when I remember how bored I was of seeing the same build order and the ONLY same 3 units in every game, marines, marauders, medivacs.
Trying something else will result in failing for Select.
