Honestly why are these protoss players defaulting to colossus? Every terran player ever is used to seeing them and they no longer "hardcounter" skilled players. The benefits they give have been circumvented and the strats of Stalker Colossus, 4 gate rush to colossus are shrugged off by even the worst of terran pros. Because it takes a long ass time to tech to HTs then research Psi Storm and Khaydarin Amulet. A long ass time and a ton of gas. Protoss players already have the Robo out for the observer so the Colossus is quicker and also effective against the Terran bioball when used right. | ||

Force ghosts to counter HT's then move to colossus because then there are less marauders to kill your colossus. Because atm all I've seen is protoss losing to terran when the terran goes BIO. Isn't bio supposed to be weak to colossus? The unit and the strat has been used so much that so far this tourny cycle its proven to be totally defunct. Heres hoping for more air/HT play in the next tourny. My thoughts exactly. A lot of players seem to rely on colossus out of comfort and not because the unit is actually useful against terran now. Hopefully future protosses go more HT based army and are more aggressive with expanding and switching its unit combo up. It's just to easy for terrans nowdays to see the colo and react perfectly, and in most cases even getting that third base up before toss does. The benefit of HT can even be extended to base defense with its feedback ability on medivacs which I have seen many protosses crumble against (every toss against select in mlg for example). | ||
