Even with a reasonable ro32 showing in s3 they most likely would only see top koreans if they qualified. He means that clide will be seeded so they won't have to play against the better/experienced GSL players during the qualification days.

He could have backed off and transition which obviously would gave TLO a huge advantage but wouldn't lead to a loss directly. Sometimes you have to take risks in a best of 3 / best of 5. Its part of mindgaming.

EDIT: just from reading some posts: ffs even I know that TLO rarely goes MMM vs toss, his builds effectively ask his opponents to 4-gate him once in a while

If TLO even has his scvs where they should be he wins easily. Sangho blind 4 gated like a bad american diamond player albeit with better control. If Sangho had played like some monster I'd feel differently but TLO just beat himself which is very sad to see =( Geez, SC2 new comers are so ignorant. User was warned for this post

TLO lost because he tried to be cute That doesn't change the fact that it is such an advantageous map for p that it shouldn't be in the map pool. Tlo failed to play the map and that is what lost him the game.

Single elimination is more set up for entertainment, every match on the line counts, it's very on the edge, you care more.. unlike double elim where winner's bracket is more of a formality, the real placement edge of your seat matches take place in losers either way, both systems have their positives and negatives The fact that they play each match without other matches going on would make losers brackets impossible or very convoluted. Even if they played the losers brackets concurrently, it would still be very difficult to pull off in this multi-day format. It works better for the MLG since the whole tournament is done in two days as opposed to weeks. Also, winners brackets are played together instead of one after the other. I would be very disappointed if the casters could only choose one game to cast out of four that may be going on.

Agree, I feel that Boxer and TLO belongs to the same type of player, who not only seek to win, but also to be ahead of the curve in terms of innovative play.

However I can't see them making it to the S class at this point don't quote me on this stuff, the future gom seasons are very strange to me, and I have a limited understanding of them

Unlike SC2 veterans? Blindly 4-gating is a bit scrubby. Effective if you coin toss it, but scrubby.

For gom to "stack" the odds against him would be silly, I personally think Idra has a really easy bracket.. so you think Gom thinks Idra is korean now? I think they would at least let TLO play one of those morons in the second match today if they could, those guys aren't bringing any viewers in, I'll tell you that This is exactly my point. With the less inspired match that came before these two powerhouses, you would think GOM would look at the bracket and think "hey, maybe we should switch this up a bit so that we have potentially more viewership due to TLO AND SangHo playing on multiple days." Because the two scrubs who played each other in the earlier match aren't going to draw much of an audience for their day in the Ro32. I think GOM respects IdrA more because he is more "legit" in their eyes due to having been a B-teamer on CJ for so long. I contend that IdrA is more "Korean" because TLO has only played on a foreign team (to my knowledge), even if It's technically TLAF-Liquid`/oGs. I like SangHo too, but I would rather see a new face who I know can play top level games do well. GSL3 needs to seed players after the Ro64 qualifiers have been determined.

Depot next to rock wouldn't have helped. So what if he sees it? He still needs to split to defend against both sides. TLO lost because he tried to be cute If he had something there to see to SEE the pylon being dropped down, he can quite literally send 2 marines to shoot it down before its up and is able to warp in units in the back of his base. LOGIC.
