Depot next to rock wouldn't have helped. So what if he sees it? He still needs to split to defend against both sides. TLO lost because he tried to be cute

You realize haypro jinro and huk have done absolutely nothing so far to even get a seed right? Even with a reasonable ro32 showing in s3 they most likely would only see top koreans if they qualified.

He means that clide will be seeded so they won't have to play against the better/experienced GSL players during the qualification days.

Bit underrated TLO's quality I think. He had an offish night. Maybe a bit too cutesy?

Gah just frustrating because we all want him to do well so badly. Good though to get him to see those foreign styles again. Right now foreign T seems miles head of korean T.

Especially how the Emporer himself actually said how much he likes TLO's play.

It's clear Boxer likes TLO's play because it is different and usually aggressive. Doesn't necessarily make it the 'best' play when it comes to winning.

As for foreign T being miles ahead of Korean T: simply no.

What you call out SangHo being bad for, I call him being good. Thats also the reason TLO is so good. He's unpredictable and he usually has a transition of some kind. I'm pretty sure SangHo didn't blindly throw units in there.

He could have backed off and transition which obviously would gave TLO a huge advantage but wouldn't lead to a loss directly. Sometimes you have to take risks in a best of 3 / best of 5. Its part of mindgaming.

dammit I overslept, FU different timezones/round earth

EDIT: just from reading some posts: ffs even I know that TLO rarely goes MMM vs toss, his builds effectively ask his opponents to 4-gate him once in a while

That doesn't change the fact that it is such an advantageous map for p that it shouldn't be in the map pool. Tlo failed to play the map and that is what lost him the game.

This is why I dislike the GSL match system...

There needs to be a losers bracket

Never liked a tournament with losers' bracket. it is more like stuff just for entertainment, but not for competition.

i would actually make a case for the opposite, losers bracket lets you find the best players in the tournament.. if you lose to a player better than you, you still have a chance to finish where you belong, cause you can test your skills vs other losers.

Single elimination is more set up for entertainment, every match on the line counts, it's very on the edge, you care more.. unlike double elim where winner's bracket is more of a formality, the real placement edge of your seat matches take place in losers

either way, both systems have their positives and negatives

The fact that they play each match without other matches going on would make losers brackets impossible or very convoluted. Even if they played the losers brackets concurrently, it would still be very difficult to pull off in this multi-day format. It works better for the MLG since the whole tournament is done in two days as opposed to weeks. Also, winners brackets are played together instead of one after the other. I would be very disappointed if the casters could only choose one game to cast out of four that may be going on.

Agree, I feel that Boxer and TLO belongs to the same type of player, who not only seek to win, but also to be ahead of the curve in terms of innovative play.

In the developed world, a lot of people have to commute to work in city centres, which can mean early starts just to get to work by 9am.

they won't be in the premier section of the tournament if they can't get in far in GSL3...

however, there haven't been very clear rules yet on how to get into future GSLs, there will be an "S" class of 32 players, and an "A" class of 64 players, based on points from the 3 GSLs, and there will be some way to make it in to the A class of players based on ladder and qualification tournaments which I can see them doing.

However I can't see them making it to the S class at this point

don't quote me on this stuff, the future gom seasons are very strange to me, and I have a limited understanding of them

Unlike SC2 veterans?

Blindly 4-gating is a bit scrubby. Effective if you coin toss it, but scrubby.

Why are people complaining about Sangho 4-gating when TLO just did a SCV/Thor all-in?

Look at TLO's uniform. Now look up at the url. Now back at TLO's uniform. His uniform is now diamonds!

Also, it's way more BM to cheese in game 3 than it is in game 2, imo. I hate the player selection for this match. I really want to say that TLO got stacked. Even if he made it to the Ro16, he'd probably have to play Fruit Dealer. TLO is a top 8 contender; there's no excuse for stacking the odds against him just so he has a lower rank for the major GSL next year. Yes, I'm accusing GOM of race bias. But I'm mainly just frustrated. I really think TLO could make top 8 if the players were properly seeded.

yeah... I doubt that..

TLO draws a lot of foreign fans, and a lot of koreans enjoy his play as well, Boxer himself said TLO inspired him in SC2... For gom to "stack" the odds against him would be silly, I personally think Idra has a really easy bracket.. so you think Gom thinks Idra is korean now? I think they would at least let TLO play one of those morons in the second match today if they could, those guys aren't bringing any viewers in, I'll tell you that

This is exactly my point. With the less inspired match that came before these two powerhouses, you would think GOM would look at the bracket and think "hey, maybe we should switch this up a bit so that we have potentially more viewership due to TLO AND SangHo playing on multiple days." Because the two scrubs who played each other in the earlier match aren't going to draw much of an audience for their day in the Ro32.

I think GOM respects IdrA more because he is more "legit" in their eyes due to having been a B-teamer on CJ for so long. I contend that IdrA is more "Korean" because TLO has only played on a foreign team (to my knowledge), even if It's technically TLAF-Liquid`/oGs. I like SangHo too, but I would rather see a new face who I know can play top level games do well. GSL3 needs to seed players after the Ro64 qualifiers have been determined.
Please PM me with any songs you like that you think I haven't heard before!

If he had something there to see to SEE the pylon being dropped down, he can quite literally send 2 marines to shoot it down before its up and is able to warp in units in the back of his base. LOGIC.
