Anyway Boxer is good. Top 64 good, not favorite to win GSL2 good. Him and Nada are definitely overhyped as can be seen from our frontpage poll. At the same time they do have the skills to do well in GSL and get deeper and further than Ro64. Also people shouldn't forget that the more pressure and the more specialized game preparation the better Boxer and Nada will do because they have been there before.

So now you're suggesting that they rig the whole thing?

The arbitrariness of it, and the fact that GomTV doesn't officially announce it as policy is sketchy, but in practice the seeding of "better" players is pretty standard.

I just want these two guys to do well because of how much publicity it will bring to SC2 in Korea. If Boxer is playing, you can count on Koreans watching. That's a big deal right now.

Very happy to see Polt and Clide get through. Polt is obviously extremely intelligent so I can't wait to see some more of his plays, and Clide is just very solid — he could definitely make it to the finals this time imo. NaDa qualifying will make my whole day though.

Disclaimer: Still not trolling, incase some kind of defenders come along. Considering his play on youtube and who has smashed him - and then how far those people have got in the GSL last season, it just doesn't make sense to me. :/ I wish the guy well as he is a legend and all but honestly his play has been sub par against people who lost in the last GSL. How Tester can not get in and Boxer does eludes me.

However the difference like nazgul mentioned is that Boxer and Nada has the mentality and the experience which others haven't coming from BW to SC2 and that is the pressure a big tournament can give you. They can keep their calmness even better than like Tester did when he got marine/scv rushed in the ro16. So they have the advantage when it comes to performance expectations (many Finals experience lolol). I could see them reach the ro8 atleast but it'll be very tough. Let's just root for them and hope we get so many exciting matches in the GSL2. Edit: And it's pretty obvious though and understandable that GomTV is using an informal seeding. It is logical to do that since it will generate more viewers for them and thus it's better for the sponsors which in turn will give more money to GSL. It's a company wanting to get profit and placing famous players like NaDa/July/Boxer in an easy bracket is the best they can do for everyone. The only thing that stops this plan is if the players themselves play bad or are unlucky on their qualifiers (July).

You've seen a tiny sample of his actual games and you have no idea if those games were ultra competitive or if they were trying different things etc. We can guess all we want but until we see how people react and play in a high stakes tourney setting you are just doing that making a blind guess.
