I think most people are cheering for this tournament to succeed since it's just 2 average guys who took up the ambition to run it. There has been a lull recently, but as others have said, if you guys focus on getting the qualifiers done with as soon as possible (don't worry about making things perfect), there will be a lot of interest coming back as the main ro16 bracket starts. I will comeback in a few weaks to see if tournament has started. When it actually starts I believe you will get the hype and stuff back and a lot of people will watch.

People lose interest, move on to other big tournaments and simply forget. I forgot about this for almost a month and was thinking well they must be playing the semis already lets check it out only to find that not even the qualifiers next round (from the last I saw) was played. It's kinda the price you pay for having Koreans participate, I'm very curious how HDH2 will handle this. They actually have more than half less players participating and less Koreans too, but still enough to make me wonder if they'll be able to play an entire round in a day (or even a week). It's kinda sad though that players want qualifiers for everything, but that viewers don't really care about them, even when there's so many big names. Might be better to do 100% invite after all.

I think having some qualifiers is good, but I guess you just have to be strict. If it's a european/us tournament you have to play your games in a set time or tough luck. As long as the guidelines are clear, no one can be *too* upset. And if someplayers can't make their commitments then they just have to be disqualled. Harsh, but necessary in a tournament as large as this one was/is.

It's so hard to get two players with a 12 hour time difference that both have their own schedules to play their match in time, it's ridiculous. For instance, the oGs.Zenio vs KiWiKaKi match was planned for today a half hour from now, but coincidence wants that right at this moment the US servers are down. Now it'll take at least another 24 hours, just to set a new time and date at which both players are available. So should I just DQ them because they haven't played at the set time? I don't think we would've had much players left ![]() Most of these players are pro gamers and this is a large prize pool. There is a certain point where you do have to DQ people. This tournament really has to get moving if anyone is going to care about it by the time the qualifiers are over...

People that were showing zero motivation to play their matches have already been DQ'ed. No no I'm just talking in general. There's alot of times I see these players on. Just set a firm date or something.

Also at this point, the tournament has been going for 1-2 months now and round 4 of qualifier games are barely starting. This tournament could be really awesome, it's just so hard to care about it when there are very few games being played, few people know what's going on, etc.

I bet they're on a lot, but when their opponents on the other side of the globe are asleep that doesn't do us any good ^^ When Americans and Koreans are involved the only viable times are from 8AM till 10AM and from 10PM till midnight. Most work in the morning so that leaves us about 2, maybe 3 hours later in the evening at which players are reluctant to play because they need to get up in the morning and can't play their A-game so late -_-' I hope we get dedicated foreigner proteams soon ![]()

This dragging on has been really bad (even unheard of, at least for me), and although it is not anybodys fault per se, you need to start setting deadlines that will hold.

It's one of the largest ones out there. With over $2k in cash people can go to work tired one day ![]()
