Are all these games going to be casted privately then youtubed or is there going to be any live casting? tourneys like these just arent awesome unless you and 10k other nerds are watching it at the same time.

The Koreans haven't played yet, the matches were rescheduled for now but the accounts keep getting blocked by Blizzard because they may have been "compromised". It fucking pisses me off ... if you want to play on another server you have to buy another copy of the game, and then they'll just continuously block it.

Sounds like they're monitoring the IPs that use the accounts... Pretty shitty move but what do you expect from a corporation these days.

Just curious what the status of the tourney is, what stage are we all at now?

This was a great idea and all. It blew up which was really cool, but there havent been any games casted in like a week, the whole tourney is taking way to long. You dont have to cast every game, just cast the good series until ur at like ro16 or even 8 get this thing moving

I agree with James. Watching the excitement then the sponsors surround this tournament added excitement to the whole environment you created. You're blowing it. People want to see games or results which imply that we get to see results in the near future.

We're still moving along but not as fast as I'd like, the account troubles have been solved but the timezone differential is still annoying as hell. Most players are American and they all want to play between 12:00 and 9:00PM, which is mostly about 1AM till 10AM KST (the only time that oGs and Prime players are definitely not online). So it remains a constant back and forth of times and dates since there's normally no timeframe in which both are on MSN. It's really not a position from which I can blame someone for the delay, foreigner players all still have stuff to do every day since they can't live on playing Starcraft 2. The Koreans are online most off the day all week, but they too have a large amount of tournaments they compete in and I can't demand them to play at 4AM at night either. Result is that the games are continuing being played, but not in one swoop like we'd all like to see.

Good news is that we're almost through qualifiers and still have some great matchups coming up! ^^ The RO16 and RO8 should go a good deal faster now the amount of Korean vs American matches have been mostly dealt with. We'll also have some of the interesting games streamed soon
