They will be multiplayer only, one size fits all, left and right. We're going to see how a leaner, simpler product feels. Improve communication between users, take out the complexity in finding the correct layout, etc. That said, as always, I strongly suggest NOT upgrading to 4.0 if you have 3.0 or earlier. To prevent bias, each new version is designed with a brand new player in mind. It seeks ultimate efficiency regardless of what is intuitive or what came before it. More importantly I'm working on a video that explains what TheCore is and how you can apply the principles to any PC game for a more comfortable experience long term. @Erob: Thousands of people use TheCore (at least) including high level players like Showtime, PiG, Neuro, and Probe. We're here, just reach out with your questions. Camera location keys + manual select is the more consistent and frees up a control group as there is no need to CG injecting queens. Sure, it might be a hair faster, but that is not worth the utility of an entire control group. (usually a close one at that) @Sundr You need to have a different hotkey layout for each mode you play. You need also, to have a different hotkey layout for every arcade game you play. When you load up for one version with the "wrong" hotkeys selected as the active profile, the game asks you if you want to save the changes. DO NOT DO THIS as it will overwrite and unbind many keys. Just ignore/cancel out and then change your profile to the correct one. It's a pain in the ass, but it's all we have. Edit: Official OP update TheCore 4.0 (and 4.0+) are officially under construction!!! Shit that's changing:

Thanks so much!! <3 nadavu 4.0 is index pinky for abilities, middle ring for control groups Not doing this in 2.0 was a major error, probably the biggest one we've made so far. | ||

Then I will fix ![]() Keep in mind that the order of the camera keys isn't important as long as it matches with itself (recall cg 1 and set cg 1 should be the same key out with different modifiers *usually*). | ||

I'll check all keys against the sheet but for now there are unbound groups and camera hotkeys, camera location hotkey 4 (both create and recall) also seems incorrect. Edit(s): 1. I presume the keys listed as 'Alt' in the master sheet are Alt GR for UKQerty; these all required changing in-game from Alt to the Alt GR (cntrl + alt) modifier 2. Cams 1,2,3,4 all wrongly binded wrt Master Sheet 3. Another incredibly odd bug and probably the worst; the minimap is no longer clickable, switched profile back to Core 3.0 and standard and both worked fine. Just occurring on 4.0! 4. CG's do not match with the sheet; O,I,L,K,9,0,8,U, Comma, . compared to O,I,L,9,0,K,8,U,Comma,. on the sheet. [Just out of order but still confusing if following sheet]. There is also an extra bind for Steal -6 bound as Alt + J which should instead be on Steal-5 according to sheet and I imagine should be Cntrl + Alt + J for Alt GR kbs? 5. J not assigned as build basic alternate for SCVs Thanks again for all the work JaK, I may switch from 3.0 to 4.0 just for funsies ![]() ![]() | ||

@Jak anyway I can help clean up some of these bugs instead of posting them here? also just wondering what the "Auto-Cast" under alt + 2/- refers to on the spreadsheet | ||

Posting the bugs is super helpful! mike (guy who made the script) and I will be able to clean them up. Check the Handbook for the auto-cast stuff. There are a number of things it could be, but my money is on the "Sc2 just changed my hotkeys to standard" bug which happens partially sometimes and completely other times. Been here since WoL but never been addressed ![]() MAKE A BACKUP This is the only way unfortunately. All of this is ofc assuming no human error. | ||

Fat-Fingering a shift-build with SCVs suddenly overwrites all of your control groups o_O Out of interest, any reason Stim is on ; in the Tech Lab? Seems like J and P are primaries for everything and yet Stim is on ; while concussive is J. Seems like with Weapons and Shields in EBay being P and J respectively, optimal for Stim and Shield would be the same Edit: Incidentally, another issue with UKQwerty; concussive is on G instead of J with respect to the Sheet Edit 2: UKQwerty - Smart Servos in Factory TL currently on S instead of ; Regards TLM | ||
