After thinking on the 3.0 setup for a minute I think I will like it. As you can use add/steal for most of your CG needs I like that it's the default CG go to command, so to speak, on control. Freeing up shift for faster camera jumping is a nice move I think and the downgraded create/steal feels intuitive where it sits on control+shift for those special situations you need it. Just great, I'm definitely adding in these changes. I can't speak for any other changes since I don't play lefty. Great job!

EDIT: I realize now that the mentioned settings is like the protoss and 1.0 setups, but I've never used those.

I checked 3.0 seed files.
AppendAndSteal=Control

Is TheCore+ same combination?

After Beedebdoo dropped some massive knowledge on the cg stealing situation I've been pushed into reconsidering what to do w/ TheCore+ atm I'm thinking:

shift=create
ctrlshift=addsteal
ctrl=add
ctrlalt=createcam
alt=recallcam

shift>ctrl
list/app>shift
ctrl>alt

IMPORTANT

All that is left for LotV multiplayer is to update the python scripts and files for LotV. If you think you can do this please email me at jakataktv@gmail.com (i will be working on it myself, but if you can get it done faster it would save time for everyone)

all the new hotkeys for lotv need to be added in so when the scripts are run, nothing is unbound in the other files.

hay guys, ummmm... how do i put this without offending the entire thread.... ummmm.... well i started using the core a few weeks ago, i love it. don't know how i played sc2 without it.... but for some reason my keyboard would rebind itself to random keys. EX] "P" would turn to "s" for some reason. anyway i have tried everything form new keyboards to forms working with drivers and just after uninstalling SC2 i watched the video on steeling/creating hotkeys... I got to say, you could have made the fact that SC2 will rebind my hotkeys at random a little more obvious... that should be a vidio on its own... relay... I have had to for forfeit about 25% of my games because 10 seconds in i would learn my hotkeys stopped working. Realy, im not good at the game, come on, i would like to be able to play without technical face plats. Now that i have defined my circumstance could anyone please tell me how, one in a game i can get my hotkeys to start working again if they decide to #!&^ themselves?

find the folder there the hotkeys are stored, highlight the file & CTRL+C then CTRL+V to make a backup. Could also try setting the file to read-only

because the modifiers change, the cameras will become closer as well, move them to your 8 fastest keys. Other than that its the same as 3.0 atm.

madnessman,
I'm right handed but I play left handed. Hurt my wrist due to mouse sensitivity that was too high (3400).

depends on what you mean by better. In terms of efficiency and speed from best to worst, it is:

TheCore
TheCore Lite (once known as chameleon)

Thank you Jakatak, but where is The core+ ? I can't find that in Dropbox or Github, even the HOTS verison.
Edit: Sorry for ask you so much, but I realy like to play SC right now, but I think I will w8 for The core+ hotkey

Hi JaK, I've not played SC2 much since mid HOTS and now coming back to the game I'm going to switch to TheCore. I'm waiting for 3.0 and I appreciate you work on this in your spare time, but do you know roughly when the rest of the 3.0 files will be ready? Cheers!

I'm going to start playing again, and last time I quit I was starting on learning TheCore, though I'll wait until 3.0 to really get into it again. I have a non-standard keyboard layout (Steelseries 6vg2) which has the backslash key below enter, with a smaller shift. Is there anything good I could bind that to?

LM 3.0!! JaKaTaK you handsome fellow, thank you for all the hard work you've put into this.

I made the switch to vanilla ZLM 2.0 a few months ago, very happy with the results, and am looking forward to trying out 3.0 now.

Christmas comes 11 months early!
