People of TheCore. We have the first batch of passable files for TheCore 3.0!!

There will be errors and unbounds, report them here (i'll keep a running list in the OP), but for the most part we should be okay. When reporting problems please remember to include:

Your typing keyboard layout (US Qwerty, Swiss, German, French etc)
Your Version (ZLM, PLL, RRS, TRM)

Our focus was on multiplayer, the weakest part of the file is probably Coop, so feel free to suggest improvements especially in this area.

When speaking about keys, always use the xRM version of your hotkeys so we are all speaking the same language

OH MAN 3.0 feels way more intuitive than 2.0, I see J & O are spell keys and arent control groups anymore, but I'm sure it's for a good reason

Going to practice it for a few hours & may stream some of it

Thanks for your hard work! For clarification, are ALL versions (i.e. RRM, PRM etc) done?

I found a conflict between CameraSave and ControlGroupAppend as both use Control+Alt. I'm not sure what layouts have the Alt Gr key but it seems likely it's limited to those.

EDIT: The layouts with the conflict are the right hand FrenchAzerty, German, Latin, Nordic, Portuguese-Portugal, Swiss and UKQwerty.

im using ControlGroupAppendAndSteal (and ControlGroupAssignAndSteal rarely) which shouldnt have conflicts, I don't think you're meant to use ctrl+alt ever

@rewtamus: That's my thinking too but Alt Gr is equivalent to Alt+Control so it will cause problems for some layouts. It's an easy fix but just wanted to let JaK know about it. The fix would be to just change the ControlGroupAppend to Alt since that would be on the opposite side of the keyboard and thus not used.

I use a Nordic layout and didn't have any problems with Alt Gr conflicting and acting strangely on it's own while using 2.0.

Why is the move command so unavailable?

In ZRM (nordic layout) it's C. I've moved it to B, two keys closer. It's not a command i use too frequently, but i do use it sometimes.

The main feature of using the move command over right clicking, is that you can move towards an enemy unit/building without attacking it. (Usually for kiting towards a unit/building).

only right side layouts have AltGr - on the left it is normal Alt - as far as I know

I don't know what your thought process have been but in case they were not intended I found some new changes:
* The extra save and recall hotkeys for camera (5), 6, 7 is missing. For those that haven't tested it yet I recommend to use the alternative bind for camera 7 for the choke point where you rally units ("Ctrl+-" for saving and "Ctrl+P" to recall").
* Some menu keys have changed like F10. I'm a fan of default replay and menu keys so I don't mind this.

I am confused as to the new gateway hotkeys. I would have suggested L to be the new key for adept (like disruptor for robo) so that all the other gateway units' hotkeys could stay the same. This way mothership core could also use rapid fire for photon overcharge - was there a reason for the reshuffle? (I use PRM btw)

EDIT2: Build advanced structres V and move C? That's pretty far away considering the keys for the index finger are unused.

your keyboard has on the right side probably AltGr and it is not only ingame like Alt + Ctrl

TheCore 3 uses Alt + Ctrl + <Key> and Alt + <Key> Layers (TheCore 2 only Alt + <Key>)
TheCoreConverter Script converts for those layouts with AltGr on the right side Alt + <Key> combinations into Alt + Ctrl <Key> combination.

So it is not on your side

I don't agree personally, but even if that is the case then I don't understand the colossus/disruptor switch where colossus is 0 and disruptor is now L.. Furthermore, in the current layout, sentries now dont have the ability to be warped in through rapid fire.

It just seems odd that not only was everything moved around for thecore 2.0 users, but also a key that should be rapid fire anyway for PO isnt used for the new unit, despite being used in the other production buildings.

I downloaded ZRM 3.0 I have noticed a few things.

why is J not a alternative for select larva and build basic.
Not having J as an alternate leads to finger repetition.
2.0: Building a spore (J then P pinky index combo.) Building an Ultralisk (J then [ pinky index combo)
3.0: Building a spore (; then P index index combo.) Building an Ultralisk (H then = pinky index combo with lots of stretching)
As well as no hold J making drones at the start of the game.

Personally I do not use normal cast corrosive bile on ravager. But many people prefer having a rapid fire key as well as a normal cast one.

I personally would of thought hydralisk speed/range would be on J because of the speed upgrades = J philosophy.
and lurker den being at ; just like how greater spire is at ;

alt+j for adding hatches is missing. Players have to ctrl+O to add rather than the glorious alt+J then alt+camera key combo.

US qwerty RRM has misbound Disruptor ability - still on D should be on I,K or ;

PurificationNovaTargeted/Disruptor=D

Haven't checked other layouts for this

Hi, i posted a few days ago about hotkeys that just stop working in the middle of a game. i tried having a separate file with an extra set of the core, but that does not seam to help (pause game copy/past in and activate new file). It appears that my keyboard is complacently rebound for every key (sc2 thinks so at least) so merely activating the new file does noting. i have un/reinstalled sc2 and battle net, also played with the driver a bit. i think the issue may be with blizzard because this is the only place it happens. It usually happens when i hit a steady 150-200 apm in the game before (the next game my keyboard will reset without warning, usually in the first minute or so). Anyone have any ideas on fixes for this ? Even a bandage fix that would allow me to just mass lings and cheese. Go for a fast win/lose so i can close and then reopen sc2 (that usefully fixes it). I currently have to forfeit about 20% of my matches because of this.
