I'd like to add to my previous post about Drop mechanics, that I completely overlooked using Add/Steal + Create/Steal.

Looking at the tables from before, Add/Steal + Create/Steal is just as good as Add + Create/Steal for Drop CG mechanics. Add/Steal can literally replace Add with no effect. Thus, there are 2 optimal solutions when looking at drop play alone.


I would also like to dump some more CG command equivalences for later use in discussions (maybe?):
Add/Steal + Create/Steal = Create/Steal + Add/Steal = 
Add + Create/Steal = Create/Steal + Add =
Add/Steal + Create = Create + Add/Steal = Create/Steal

Add + Create = Create + Add = Create

This is an extended version of the equality I showed before. Basically, any combination of Add and Create will result in Create. And if Add or Create (or both) includes /Steal, the result is Create/Steal. Added for completeness.


Add + Select CG + Create/Steal ~ Add/Steal

Given the ability to Create/Steal from a combination of Add/Steal and Create, I wanted to find something similar for Add/Steal.
I write '~' instead of '=' here, because from a CG management view, they're equivalent. But you end up with the whole CG you Add/Stole to Selected instead of just the part you intended to Add/Steal. For example if you use this method to Add/Steal some Tanks to a Marine/Marauder group, then you'd end up Selecting both the Tanks and Marine/Marauder instead of just keeping your selection on the Tanks.

Personally I have 2 binds: One for the best available non-RapidFire key and one for the best available RapidFire key.

I use the non-RapidFire to snipe static stuffs that take a specific numbers of hits to kill (for example Overlords, Liberators, Pylons). I use the RapidFire one to blot out the sun.

How can we actually tell which are the RapidFire keys in the spreadsheet? Are they the ones marked with orange in the abilities tab?

Orange indicate rapid fire yes. There are more info further to the right in the ability sheets (in the column T).

Hello everyone!

I'm play theCore ZRS and I'm not sure what key is more usefull for every thing. For example, I use this CGs:
1-Hatcheries
2-Queens injects
3-Army 1 (zerglings, roach...)
?-Army 2 (banelings)
?-Army 3 (infestors, vipers...)
4-Scout
7-Evolution chambers
?-Creep spread.

I'm very interested on usefull CG for 3 CGs Army, scout and creep spread.
Some ideas for that?

I'm trying to learn the core, but I find the camera hotkeys very difficult to you, as I have to press the ctrl+alt with my thumb each time. I'm wondering, is this the norm, or is there a better setup that doesn't mess with the control groups? One thing I can do is just use 3 camera hotkeys for now, since I'm not so good yet.

I take it you mean ctrl+shift? All 2.0 setups use the same modifier keys but you could try 1.0 though I don't think that's what you're looking for as it uses the same keys only in a different order (ctrl+shift for creating control groups). My advice is to tilt the keyboard as shown in the tutorial in "TheCore Visualizer" found on the first post in this thread under "Resources".

EDIT: I hadn't noticed but the protoss 2.0 setup uses similar modifiers to 1.0.

Hey JaK, I just watched your stream starting on TheCore 3.0 files. Will you release the base files first before generating all of the Python scripts for the other ones? Also, how far is TheCore+ on your priority list? Thanks for all of the hard work.

I'll release the seed files, but remember that they're left handed versions!

TheCore Lite comes before TheCore+ But getting TheCore 100% done (all campaigns and co-op) comes before the both of them.
