Here are the co-op keys I've found so far. When pasting these into the hotkey file it's safest to put them in alphabetically, during HotS when a lot of new keys were pasted in there were cases where the file would just drop keys rather than sort them if there were too many.


NOTE: Hidden conflicts can occur when Blizzard hardcode an unused ability to a key (say E). When someone (say a left handed Core user) sets a different key to E it may not work because the game thinks E is for something else.
I've noted possible conflicts below, these may need to be set to something else, (left handed to UIOP etc, right handed to QWER etc), or they may be legit and I just haven't unlocked them yet.
Post in this thread if you confirm either way.
Also: if you press a key and it doesn't work, it's not your imagination. Post in this thread which layout you use, the building and the key.

@SixtusTheFifth - I've been going through searching for all the hotkeys that currently don't have a front-end spot to change them.

I submitted this as a bug on the bnet forum[1] , but am copying it here for those of you that may want to change your hotkeys.

Not all of the hotkeys are able to be changed for the campaign and co-op modes.

The ones I've ran across:

As an aside (this isn't a bug but it's bad enough that it should be...) but it's really annoying that you have to load into a multiplayer game to change the 'change hotkey' ui to multiplayer and then have to log into a campaign/coop game to change the 'change hotkey' ui to the campaign version. I'd suggest on the hotkeys ui to just have a different tab for each game mode.

Is there a way to rebind the windows key to something more useful?

edit: So I downloaded some random key remapper and remapped the windows key as F12 (since the game doesn't recognize the windows key). Now I can use it as a camera key or whatever.

Are any professional players using this layout?

I know there are some very high ranking GM's like Neuro using this layout, but I'm curious if any players on pro teams are using The Core.

I could, but only left handed medium Random users for TheCore+ that use the QGMLWY typing layout would be able to use it. Also, even that layout is currently incomplete. I just downloaded the zerg medium right 2.0 layout for nordic keyboards, but it seems like the ravager and corruptor spells are unbound. Which should I bind these to?

@Bumlebi - The updated version of the Core that accounts for the new LOTV units, spells, and abilities is not yet complete. Jak is working on it right now.

You would have downloaded the one that is complete for HOTS. If you want to update it now to play LOTV, you can refer to Jak's video that is 2 posts prior to yours. Or, if you look at the original post on page 1, Jak has posted an edit at the very top about transitioning the hotkeys to LOTV.

Great job putting this together and thank you to everyone that contributed. It has completely rewritten the way I play Starcraft! I've been playing casually since before BW always using the standard hotkey layout. Very early in my SC2 career I found this little gem and I don't think I'll ever play another RTS unless someone puts this much thought into the hotkey layout again.

The reason I quoted that section is I feel like the order for me and possibly many others was:
Curiousity
Back to School
The Point of No Return
Inflection Point
Don Music (Cameras, still can't get in the habit of using them and only occasionally set them up. Never make efficient use of all control groups but I'm sure many other people do not have 2+ harass control groups)

I don't ladder currently because having kids that could wake up at any moment makes it hard to ensure 20-30 minutes uninterrupted play time. To a parent, pause is God...

Anyway, thank you so much and I'm eagerly awaiting The Core 3. I've been tuning in to your twitch to figure out how to rearrange hotkeys for the new units so it's not such a change when the official version comes out. If anyone wants my .sc2hotkey file, its qwerty Righthand/Random/Medium (JIOP home keys) with most of the standard and campaign keys and some of the co-op keys updated for LotV, I would be happy to upload it somewhere

@Bumlebi - I use the global spreadsheet for 2.0 that you can find in the original post under Resources. From there you can pick your layout and figure out which keys are available then set manually

Hey there guys... JaKaTaKSc2. I am happy to see you are still offering support on these layouts. I don't know if you remember me... I was designing a do-it-yourself guild for customizable texturized hotkeys in order to allow gamers to find keys by feel, know keys by feel, and keep their eyes on the screen. Well either way, I am happy to see you are still working on the project. Keep up the good work!

I was thinking of downloading 2.0 and transitioning the hotkeys for protoss. Will 3.0 be that different that it'll make any transition obselete? I don't have any prior core experience but this seems awesome and I want to try it out.

Have you seen the thread about the new functionality of the default alt key? url

How would you suggest incorperating this new feature into theCore 2.0? Any thoughts (I use alt at the moment to set camera hotkeys)?
