1. Tried it failed first few times as was not following the OP
2. Follow up exactly and ensure ur hotkeys and micro are solid. Works best vs fast expanding zerg and worst against terran (bunker =gg)

My fav game was a toss who prxy gated me and cause of my wall was able to win thanks Geiko ur da man!!
Somethings are just worth fighting for

When i read this 2 things come to mind:

1. Why do people like winning over actually getting good?

2. If people come up with any hard to hold cheese, its always zerg having the hardest time defending and terrans 'just build a bunker'...

Hello , a funny thing happened to me after i read this thread, i go on ladder and i get a terran player on xelnaga caverns map , i try to scout his base , but his low ground entrance is blocked with rax supply wall (at that moment i was like wtf xD i know what is that) , so i stop making probes added a second gateway before cyber, and chronoboosted my stalkers as soon as i start making them , but as soon as i moved out , my probe spotes him already on half way to my main , so i had little time to kite his army , and still with a little bit micro i was able to kill some scvs , reinforcing marines , gathered my probes and using mineral walk technique i was able to surround marines while scvs where targeting my zealots / stalkers. So i was able to defend it with no problem.
here is the replay , me and my opponent are both 1050+ master league on eu.

Maybe I'm missing something by why not just build a Depot instead of orbital? It's not that you're gearing up for the late game and the Depot is less expensive and builds faster.

mmm now that could be the reason why a zerg that sees me wallin in at the bottom to deny the scout are always going for a baneling bust. And i just do this to have a double wallin against baneling busts haha xD.
I am shocked though how this can work against grandmaster people. But i guess you have to decide if you wanna fight against one base play or if you want to fight against the fast expand and because of the mind set higher up peoples will always decide for the fast expand . Just like lower ranked people will always decide for the one base play.

I think this is definately the way to beat it as toss, this build is quite easy to scout cause of the low ground wall, supply drop will confirm it.

If he is just faking it to tech or in base FE, then you can harrass the wall with your early stalkers.

Really well made thread I used a variation of this build with no supply drop before I stopped playing a lot in tvz. I would play many games with someone and do that wall-off into a command center one game and then the cheese the next time

LOL #1 i played vs you twice on ladder (tvp and tvt) and both won ^^.
i was surprised when i saw ur bo but i managed to luckily hold it off (i usually open reaper first, few rines + hellion + try to get massive map control) : thats why i managed to see it comming fairly early - get 2 bunkers and 2nd reaper, however i defended VERY luckily (bunker nerf ftw, 2 reapers in red)

and now week later i see you made nice progress with that build order ^^ this world is soooooo amazing small

I get an oc because i can afford it without cutting marine production. In some cases, that MULE can save the day (see replay vs MoMaN)

You can still wall off with a 2x2 and a 3x3 building. They removed the possibility to wall off with 2 2x2 buildings, i.e two supply depots or two pylons. When the first rax goes up, the wall-in at the bottom of the ramp ist complete.

It depends on the map, if a 9 Pylon scout can slip in before the first barracks go up, which would leave you without the information if the terran cut SCVs. You can only see the wall-in at the bottom in this case, which does not mean he is going all-in 100%.

I think I also made alot of people on ladder unhappy in the last 2 hours. This really needs balancing.
