Just saying that if the protoss goes for a one base play it seems innefective. I dont like to play like a dice roll. How is it that this beats sentrys at the top of the ramp? went of experience watching pros do it vs pros. Read your op just giving my opinion on the build no need to be a jurk.

i use a similar build (like response #1, 12rax, 14rax, 14rax) and i have a incredible good winrate vs Protoss, a pretty good vs Zerg and a horrible vs Terran, because i play random and every Terran walls off vs Random

Look at the ToD replay where he gets sentries. This isn't just a mass marine push, it's an Allin that hits extremely early. In my experience, you can get 2 FFs out but not much more without knowing before hand that this is coming. You will not be able to get more then 2 sentries if I hit at 5:10 as I should. Sorry about the tone, I just had the feeling you were criticizing without having actualy read the thread or bothered to look at replays, sorry if that was not the case.

Am i wrong on that one? | ||

I am a Master Terran and I use a very similar build from time to time, exclusively against zerg though. I used this build all the way from gold to Master on every zerg and really really regretted it. It took me days and days of customs to get my TvZ to a state where I could even compete on ladder and even now two months on it is still my weakest matchup. This is a great build to have in your bank... But it should not be a "trick to GM" You will regret it in the long run if you actually care about being a good player. My Build + Show Spoiler + 10 - depo 12 - rax 14 - rax (cut SCVs) 14 - rax 15 - OC (supply drop thingy) Leave base at 4:00 with 3ish marines and most scvs (leaving 3 at home is enough for constant marine production in my experience.) tl;dr - You won't be a good player if you just use this.

Am i wrong on that one? at 5:10 min you have basically nothing to produce that many sentries. (Unless you are specifically preparing for this from the start, in which case you simply lose to standard TvP)

http://www.sc2replayed.com/replay-videos/1434 And the second one, me faking the build then expanding against a protoss, who then ignores it completely and goes standard 3 gate robo. I think it did OK economically but it wasn't very polished. http://www.sc2replayed.com/replay-videos/1435 So, i like the idea of having a FE that looks exactly like a cheesy all in.

But here are two games (gold league), the first is me getting wiped out vs a zerg who pretty much 7 roach rushed, which hatched when i arrived, is this just a build order loss or did i mess up something hard, close positions and he scouted me early so he could have guessed what was coming. http://www.sc2replayed.com/replay-videos/1434 And the second one, me faking the build then expanding against a protoss, who then ignores it completely and goes standard 3 gate robo. This is supposed to win vs a 7RR. In the replay your marine micro was terribad. When you are chasing stuff, remember to stutter-step (you would have killed 6-7 drones with stutter step) and also, remember to keep your SCVs and marines close. You got vaught totaly of position when the roaches popped and your SCVs were basicaly useless.

Because that supply depot is then easy to pick off with any sort of early pressure. Unless you set up defensive mesures at your natural, at which case you have to be confident you can hold an all in.
