In particular on a map like shakuras plateau for example. @poster a couple more above : This is to my knowledge the most efficient cheese to protrait farm with (without resorting to sinking your acount's MMR), good luck on those 1000 wins, you're gonna ned a lot of patience.

Then it's as easy as building a wall with a bunker and auto-repairing the hell out of it. Thats why after you wall-off like that you can take a chance and fast expand because the enemy thinks he knows what you're doing, works against other races too.

It still requires less patience than earning 1000 wins as a copper leaguer the hard way. I'm just a portrait farmer. At my age, I gotta take what I get.

Wrong. Upon seeing a wall at the bottom of the ramp, a smart player will have a worker watching the natural to see when you leave with your SCVs and Marines so he can get into position for the all-in attack. He'll always know what you're doing. Furthermore, you can't take a fast expansion when this build cuts SCVs at 12, burns the first round of Orbital Command energy on Calldown Supply instead of a MULE, and diverts all remaining minerals to Marines and depots. It'll take quite a while to afford a CC and catch up on SCVs, making the fast expansion unfeasible with this build order.

I think that if the protoss pushes with stalkers, they can tear down the wall without being in range of a bunker. it can basically be giving away a free supply depot or more early into the game.

Yes, I have had my opponent abuse the metagame on a couple of occasions and expand behind this wall-off with supply drop. Thankfully, the number of T using this build has dropped over the past few weeks. While I sometimes am successful kiting the rines across the map with stalkers, I have lost to it as much as I have won.

Thanks. My post and quote do make sense. Your reply, however, does not. Workers move faster than Marines, so P's scouting worker can run up to the ramp, see the wall, see the Marine, then run away safely. Assuming an SCV all-in, P will send the worker back to the expo to see when T is leaving, but in doing so, it can also see whether T has expanded. In case you haven't noticed, the exit and the nat are in the same place. If T kills the worker, P can simply send another one, in which case T's expo will be up or there will be a billion Marines waiting to greet him. Either way, T is exposed. The same logic applies if you simply wall off with a 10 Depot and 12 Rax and ditch the rest of the build order. It's called "basic worker scouting." As I explained in my reply, you're not feinting shit. Why don't you see this abused by T a lot more? Because what you call "metagame abuse" is really just a bad magic trick that your drunk uncle does at a party: he thinks he's fooling everybody, but they can easily tell what he's doing.
