Hit this two more times. Might take a a few days/week off ladder and practice builds, and let this fad pass. I don't find it fun in the least, and it is making me play much worse than normal as I am paranoid about it every PvT.

I have run into this build like 15 times in the plat/diamondish area.... If done correctly it is just ridiculous.... I can't wait for this shit to be over.

Take away call-down. I don't even know why terran gets to have that ability while z and p doesn't.

Just played this. Was a little worried when I saw the low ground wall off.

I held it with speedlings (speed finished in the nick of time), canceled expo, made spine, pulled drones/queens, and had plenty leftover.

I didn't want to commit blind so I sacked an overlord and even though it didn't see his rax before dying, it was at the perfect time to see his orbital energy drop with no mule. Neat.

I rolled this in tournaments as a hidden ace (even before the rax nerf), and now you made it popular. Although you still don't have it PERFECT, but pretty damn close. I never posted it or played it on ladder for this reason.

Nah, zealots are totally useless against a tight pack of marines. The only real answer is stalkers.

One in two games I play, people ask me if I'm going to do the 3 racks all in. I feel it would be a very good time to start metagaming and 1 rax FEing.

I would love to see a thread with different viable openers as T with bottom wall-off.

^^ I've only hurt those who had a similar build and were keeping it secret. In a week or so, everyone will have met this at least once and will know how to counter it.

I'm very interested to see what effect this will have on the metagame. I might start walling at the bottom of ramp and 1 rax FE'ing with the hope that my opponent plays defensively preparing for the cheese.

This is already done quite a bit, especially when Terran goes Tank marine in TvP. It's stupid to do against Zerg and Terran though, imo, because both races can abuse it with bling busts and marine/marauder respectively. It also sucks if they scout early and harass your SCV as it's building the barracks, since you really can't do anything about it.

It's actually very easy to deal with harassing workers. Just take your tell your worker to stop building and attack instead while pulling an other worker to finish the barracks.

Bling busting this kind of wall off is VERY risky. You don't know what's up there, and every smart player will have a second wall off at the top of the ramp anyways.

If you are FEing, you'll want to place bunkers and defend at the low ground anyways so your supply depot isn't really a liability against T.

This is actually ridiculous, i am a mid master zerg who has probably only played 10 games as terran. I used this build and went 8-0 on my master league account.

I dont like to balance whine on the forums but i seriously think this is broken, i would tell zergs this was coming and i would still win.

The hard counters were 1 base roach or a quick baneling

I just lost to this build... I did 13 hatch 15 pool and instantly died when the marines came on Shattered temple close position.

I'm only currently silver random, but the guy I lost too was gold and his main was protoss according to SC2 and yet it took no micro really whatsoever to just steamroll my drones/queens and too late zerglings.
GL HF... YOLO..lololollol.

I noticed Geiko that in your rep that you send your scv at the same time as the marines, you should send them after cuz u'll be able to bank some money and possibly put a bunker or even reproduce scv, whateva u want/need.
Plus you should make orbital command ASAP even if that delays a bit the third marine.

Yeah, I usually try to time them so they reach the base at the same time as the marines but I don't do it all the time. The most important thing is to have enough ressources for 27/27 food, the rest isn't really important.

I really like my orbital timing after the third marine because the supply call down comes just in time for constant marine production. You only really use the MULE if your attack fails anyways, and having it 10 secs delayed isn't a big deal (most of the time you don't even have time to call it down because you are microing your stuff).

love being terran right now. i see this all the time on ladder, everyone thinks they're so smart... all i do is put a bunker up by my ramp with repairing scvs. gg, thanks for free ladder points op <3

The only reason a bunker works is because many who do this build are retarded and just A-clicked.

Played a game against another T who put up a bunker with scv to repair. Sniped them both and killed the bunker. And I focused down all 4 rines inside with 2 of mine lost.

The rest is just strutter stepping to my victory.

And thats the reason why my 6 bf hellions 2 thors timing attack is working really well, atm.

I wall off, at the lowground and every Zerg who wrote this article is panic-mode'ing and produce mass lings and guess which unit melt rly nice under blue flamed hellions
