I have had a lot of success with this build in Diamond lately. I wanted to ask your opinion on this. Do you think this build might be good against better players?
The general idea is that you do fast Stalkers with a 10 gate and skip the Zealot. With 2 Stalkers you go harrass. Try to hit Drones and force Lings. The problem is that you have to get out, before speed is done. Meanwhile you took your second gas, Twilight Council and 2 more gates. As soon as possible, get the dark shrine. The thing is that the Zergs I play dont expect the DTs, but more pressure because of your fast stalkers, so they have a late lair. While your DTs harras you take your expo. The DTs usually get a couple of kills and cost mining time.
You will not have that many sentries like in a normal 3gate expand, but you can get an Archon and hit a good +1 timing 5 gate attack. You can even delay other Zerg expansions more with you DT map control.
First replay shows how late the opponents gets his lair.

Second replay shows, even if he has his lair close to ready, he will have trouble dealing with the 2 base attack, because of lost Drones and mining time. I loose my initial 2 Stalkers and could have warped in 3 more Zealots in the Beginning, but wasn't quite sure.

Interesting thoughts, yeah most Zergs won't expect DTs after very early Stalker Pressure. I will definitly give this a shot.

If the zerg micros the drones, you probably won't be able to deal enough damage to make up for the fact that you're on one base and have far too small an army to defend your natural. Because, unfortunately, as you begin to face better opponents, they'll notice that your pressure stopped, didn't expand and, if they poke, that you don't have much of an army. You'll be lucky if you find someone who fails to get lair in time.
In fact, it's pretty common to do early stalker pressure into blink into DTs. So the initial stalker pressure should make the zerg wary.

Hmm this is interesting. As a zerg player I could see it working. I like the concept, and I'll try to watch the replays later, but I feel like if they counter it well enough it'd be pretty much an auto loss for you.

I've frequently made use of a variation of an ancient toss build posted back in the beta: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=124511
It is extremely fun and effective vs Zerg, and now that mass roach builds are becoming popular, it is even more efficient. Before, it was assumed that a mass ling into muta strat would auto-counter this, but now it is not so prominent.
My variant simply adds Hallucination for high ground vision and pre-push scouting, as well as expanding while the Dark Shrine is warping in. Works like a charm. If you see him teching to hydra's or infestors, you should add HT's asap, but beyond that, it's pretty brutal.
