Up to what level though? I am in Diamond and I feel like I should have more..? Maybe up to masters its fine to have 1 in each match up?Especially considering people are getting better in general. Current plat league is more difficult than it was 1 or 2 years ago, etc.

Personally I find it boring as fuck so I actually do different strategies depending on my mood and early game reads. I usually don't change much until lair tech, but you can decide on mutas or infestors, at hive ultras or broodlords, etc. However, you'll be a better player if you just do one style each matchup. I play more for fun than to improve (I play random on ladder now ^^), so I'm not bothered about improving as fast as possible. But if you are, keep it to one strat per MU. ![]()

I mean the physical positioning of the buildings, not the order in which they're built... I just realized I always put the depots next to each other with my units behind them and most games I see casted have barracks in the middle with units on either side. Well a baneling bust will blow up both then.

Nothing stops you from learning more, but it introduces more variables to account for in the learning process that will slow everything else down.

So, the reasons I can thiink of are 1. depot-rax-depot placement saves SCV traveling time ever so slightly compared to depot-depot-rax. 2. Players, even pros, are lazy to pre-plan the building grids and leave space for another building later on. As for 2. this happens for protoss FFE, too. We rarely see players do forge-cyber core-gateway placements or cyber core-forge-gateway etc. It is almost always forge-gateway-cyber core. As a result, protoss sometimes lose their cyber core that is at the most vulnerable location.

I haven't watched him much recently (switched random -> terran) but he streams a decent amount iirc. He's also really articulate so if/when he does comment it should be quite informative. Can't guarantee how often he approaches it from an educative perspective though. Edit: Whitera does quite a lot of commentary when he streams, he alternates English with Russian though I think so it might not always be useful. You could also try Rotterdam, he's maybe not at the same level as those guys but he is pretty chatty. IDK how much he manages to stream with his casting commitments though. All I can think of for now, there aren't a lot of commentary-based protoss streams I think ![]()

It's possible that you're watching a HoTS stream. In HoTS they auto-mine (unless they changed it recently.

PVZ- depends on how zerg plays. zerg can reach 200/200 on roach/ling by 12 minutes but they can do a macro build instead and go for a fourth base, in which their supply will be a tad less TVZ - Zerg

You can add them to your normal friends list, which won't reveal your real name; just your username. It's only RealID that reveals your real, full name.
