Does anyone else have the problem where if they play consistently (5 games a day for at least 1 or 2 weeks), they begin to be horrible? My APM drops 40 points on average (from 110/120 to 70/80) and I feel like I can't do anything right.
I've been trying to get into Masters since Masters existed, but I can't break out of diamond because of this. I always have to end up taking a break to become decent again. After a 5 to 10 day break, I start playing OK for a week or 2, but then I hit the fatigue wall and I fall apart completely and start facing platinum players again.
I am sort of old (35). Do you think that has anything to do with it? I love this game, but it gets so frustrating to see these skill drops whenever I play consistently. I would think I should get better if I play more. But my fingers feel like they just don't want to move. I completely miss-click things all the time. And then my timings fall apart completely because I'm frustrated by miss-clicking so much.

Your age matters, but it won't really have an impact. You're most likely still learning lots and concentrating on fundamentals as well as tactics. This taxes your brain quite heavily. Take breaks every third day or so, atleast, in order for your brain to rest and digest what you've been practicing. Your gameplay will improve, instead of plummeting.

You can hide that bar in the options: Gameplay -> Under "User Interface" -> Menu Bar Mode "Hidden"

And another question: I have seen something that i would call a late 2rax stim timing push. Basically it's 1rax fe into 1gas (i think maybe even 13 gas) into another gas afterwards and get reactor rax + rax with tl to tech up to medivacs afterwards.
Is there any replay/vod/guide where this is explained and layed out to try it myself? I only found the one game from thorzain vs seiplo(?) in game one from dreamhack stream but there he got 4gated and i would like to see how it playes out and what the transitions are.
Thanks alot for your help!

How fast does creep recede? Like 1 tumor that has fully spread, how long does it take to totally disappear?

I decided to test it and each time was different. I only tested each one 3 times so I don't know how wide the variation could be.
Complete Overlord spread removal took 70 seconds ±5 seconds. Complete Tumor spread removal took 129 seoncds ± 1 second.
Edit: In game time.

I'm not sure if i understood correctly but i'll go on a limb here and say you want to delay a terran,s wall off until 5:05 game time... I'm going to say : Won't happen, assuming you 10 scout and you scout him 1st (on 4 player maps), you might get him before he puts his barrack down, but you won't have anything to support your drone harass as he can pull any number(most likely 2) of SCV to chase that drone around and force him out of position. 5:05 is really a big target to shoot to delay a wall. You might force the barrack into a position where it is not part of the wall off but he can lift and land it at the designated spot right when the construction is finished...
Worst case scenario, you scout him last and his barrack is already down at the right spot(and maybe even his 2nd depot?). with a single marine he will kill your drone and this will happen before you have the time to hit with your build (unless it's a 6pool or drone rush).

Interesting data, so if you were to block expantions with OV drop and queens for tumor you would delay the said expantion by about 50 more seconds game time.... Thanks a lot.

Somehow I forgot to mention that all times were in game.

I am pretty sure he is Terran and wants to delay his wall and wants to know which builds would "counter" that. Because a zerg can never delay a wall of a terran that long, a marine from a standard 12rax comes out at about 3:08 btw.
@Enemyy: If my guess is right could you elaborate on why you delay it and what build youre doing and so on, then i could probably tell you what would be scary and what to look out for.

@Broesl:
Yes you are correct I thuoght that tvz instead of zvt would be clear enough but i see that i can be missunderstood
As you may know i have developed the bio guide and refiened mkps opening here:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=344554
I have found out that i can build X number of marines (think 5) and right as the 5th finishes i have 25 gas for the techlab. If i walloff with my second supply depot I have to lift the barracks move it plant it down and start to build the techlab which delays the combat shield research easily by 5 seconds (or even more if i forget to do it immeditaly and start another marine (cancle -> lift -> tl etc.)
So I want to walloff with the techlab which would come down at 5:05. The second supply depot normaly comes down at 3:25 so i need to know if there is any allin by zerg that hits the timing window where i wait for the techlab.
I guess that 6 pool and drone allin happen alot earlier anyway so the second supplydepot isn't done by that time anyway and the earlierst baneling allin i can think of hits at 6:00.
So my question is if there is any Zerg allin that can be done versus Terran which HITS between 3:25 and 6:00.
Thanks :D

From the top of my head no common builds hit between those times. A 6-pool can hit at about 2.30, but between that and the earliest roach rushes at 5.15 or so I don't really know about anything...
Edit: the early RR hits before 6 minutes, i wrote the above before seeing your last post. It's easily scoutable though with an early pool and natural not taken until ~5 mins.

For me, when I want to play I'm really good. When I've played for a few days straight, that initial fire is gone and what's left is just a long list of games and what happened in them in a sort of jumbled list of "do this, don't do that" that is too confusing to really get anything out of. I end up being so taken out of the game that I do things like chronoboost my 10th probe instead of waiting until pylon is done. I grew up with video games and been playing them all my life, and in the beginning I would focus on just that, but getting older with gf then wife then daughter there's a lot more things I want to do and the value I assigned to the new stuff was equal to that of gaming. Even though I don't value gaming less (it's very valuable as stress relief and competitive outlet), I value a lot of other things at the same level now.
Signs that you are like me: You do other competitive things, like basketball, football, and other sports. You have a lot of hobbies, plus family stuff that you do a lot and work. You think about the game a lot, even on days you don't play, and would probably rather make your own build orders than learn proper ones
The solution for me is to not play too many games in a row. I am up there in rank in Masters, and I usually play 2-4 games then take a break and come back an hour or so later, depending on the time I have available to play.

Sounds good to see a dedicated gamer being able to value his time with his family aswell I'm high masters - and I can say ladderfear and hesitation is holding me back a lot. What really helped me going was getting a smurf. I've played ~50games this season on my main. On my smurf I played 99games in one week (wanted to see if I could get to masters as random. When I did I actually didn't continue playing). But when you realize your games means nothing it's a lot more comfortable to play. No stress, no important wins or losses. Just practice and fun. At least that what has worked for me.
P.S. Chronoboosting the 10th probe is a mistake I've made too many times to mention... And I feel horrible every time

I dont really see a situation where a wallin at your main ramp would cost you the game when you expanded already, besides, if its not a speedling only allin it doesnt matter anyway, roaches or banes wont care about a depot or tl wallin. Basically i dont think there is anything that can hit you besides a small ling runby, which is annoying but definetely not game changing and a zerg is rarely gonna gamble on you not having a wallin, i guess 1 in 1000 TvZ it might give you trouble, i wouldnt worry about that.

Quick simple question: I noticed some pro zergs (for exmaple revival) to screen hotkey their expansions locations at the very beggining of the game when they have actually nothing built there. And here is my question how do they center the location so that when the hatch is built it is in the middle of the screen?
