I accidently switch between english and german keyboard format in game so that the z and y key gets exchanged. It does not change the keyboard format outside of the game. How do I get it back without restarting the game?

As zerg, how can I safely and efficiently defend an expansion that's not super close to my main? Lots of spine crawlers? Should i split up my forces between my main and expo (at expense of map control and harass?)

Keep map control and harass with mutas, or if you're going the infestor route, u can keep 1 infestor at each base to stop drops and keep your army somewhere in the middle so you can defend anywhere in time. Keep 1 ling at each possible route he may come in so you can see when he's coming and buy you time.
It depends on your opponent's race though.
you can also threaten a base trade, partial or full. He travels long distance to kill your base, but you move in right when he leaves so you get a head start. You should win in this scenario, so it's an effective way to keep him at home.

Im terran. When will Protoss observators usually appear in my base?
|
If you're both playing standard 1 gate/rax expand and you don't pressure him with banshees (so he can come scout you) then about 8 minutes or later (if he goes gate expand robo or gate robo expand, gate expand gate gate robo will probably be more like 9 minutes or later)

there's no general timing, they can be there as early as 6-7 minutes or as late as never.
it depends on what the protoss is doing

I have just decided to try out protoss once again, could anyone who plays protoss suggest me a simple build for each matchup? :-)

But I kind of mean a more elaborate build. Like the 6 gate +1 push vs zerg. I haven't played protoss in a year I of course know those 3 builds but I'm kind of looking for 3 game plans if that makes any sense.
Like a opening build and a good simple transition/gameplan.

Do OCs accumulate energy while lifted?
Do sensor towers show if cloaked units are in the radius of the sensor tower?
If I have a timing push planned at TvZ at around the 9-9:30 mark that consists of helion-MM with stim, should I back off if there's no 3rd, but a macro hatch instead?

1: Yes.
2: No, cloaked or burrowed units won't show.
I've left the third one out so someone more familiar with Terran can answer properly.

Oops, ninjaed, sorry!

Depends, feel the waters out. Don't engage on creep if there's no third. If you're doing a Jjakji style push you can just sit back since your third will be already 1/3 done with them having none.
I think it heavily depends on what kind of push, if by MM you mean marine marauder and no medivacs I woulnd dare engage since you can't lift.
No one who can link/pm me some basic build with gameplan? T.T

Hi! It's been months since I've played SC2 and I was hoping to get back into it. The thing is, since then I've had to reformat my laptop and lost all my links. I had a link to a thread where someone created a web site to help you with your builds. It was really easy, you could just click units you wanted to build, and you would always know how many minerals/gas you had at x minutes. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried doing a search but it wasn't fruitful.

I forgot about that one, thanks! Bookmarked. But actually that's not what I'm looking for. The one I remember using had a horizontal timeline that you could scroll through and add units/buildings/upgrades at certain times. And once you got your build how you wanted it, you could just save the hyperlink and use it to load the build later.

can i "map" the "P" for "Patrol" button to a side button on my mouse? or is this considered cheating?

Yeah you are both able and allowed to do this. You still need to press a button to do it, it's not using any third party program and it's completely possible without exploiting the game and so it's allowed.
