I'm not sure it's useful for yourself to pursue such a topic. Regardless of what league you think you deserve, just try your best on the ladder and keep on learning. There's no answer I could give to "what league does RhapsodyZ deserve" that would make you a better, stronger player.
If you really want to know, you may be best off making a blog post, or asking a friend you play with a lot.

I think against every build of the protoss is a mediVac and fast upgrades better than a 2 ghost timing push?
15 nexus,20 nexus, 3 gate expand, and anything else that is greedy and sentry heavy. It also works well against 3 gate robo expand, due to a lot of sentries, zealots and immortals. Really, sentries, stalkers and zealots with good micro can destroy this build. But if you EMP well, you could win the game. I dunno... I don't love the build. first of all thx for your help. are you sure that against an immortal focused play like 3Gate+Robo is a ghost timing better than just go for a mediVac timing push? The same against greedy builds like 15 nexus, 1gate expand etc. Against a sentry heavy play i should prefer the ghost build but it's really hard and gimmicky to predict if the protoss player is going sentry heavy or not... :/ but i will definitely try this out. I love the ghost timing push (before the patch i did it a lot and beat 90% of my games) but now i feel like "a medivac opening is better because the faster starport tech and ebay with upgrades. I agree, it is quite gimicky. Personally, I think it trumps a medivac opening against any early expand because you can be expanding earlier with this build as opposed to an early upgrade medivac play. However, the quick ups are good for the lategame. There is no ideal buildorder, I'm just telling you what I think of it. I think that ghost timing is much better than quick medivacs a 3 gate robo play. Although the transition into vikings is funky (you will be on the backfoot for a little bit), it basically allows you to kill off their expansion, or force more gateway units to be made than the opponent wants made. However, that depends on your EMPs and micro. IMO PvT is mostly a positioning war early on. Ghosts allow for better positioning, by killing off the sentries abilities. Vikings and medivacs are more benificial to your army later on IMO. That's why I prefer to get them later. Ebay with ups is definetely better earlier, but can be added to this timing push as well (just get gas a little earlier). Ghosts also are great vs any DT play. They also pin the protoss to their base for a while; they can't really attack without colossus.
And when should i play a 2 mediVac stim, conc, +1 attack timing push in your opinion?
anyone else some explainations?

I'm "only" diamond so take this with a grain of salt, but it's worked for me pretty well.
1) Always poke with a ling (but try not to lose it) to look at army composition and timings at the front of their base. Try to get a count of # of units (especially gas units like sentries). 2) For X gateway expands, pay attention t the timing of when the nexus goes down. When you watch replays, make a mental note of what build they were doing and when it dropped -- this is usually pretty telling. 3) For FFE's, on some maps (shakuras comes to mind) you can hover an OL to check gas timings at the natural. This is usually one of the biggest tells.
If you don't have a good idea of what he's doing from all your other scouting, sac an ovie. Vs. a one base, I like to sac it around or just after ~6:00 if I don't see a nexus planted by then. Against FFE with gateway -> core (instead of 2gate zealot pressure), tech generally goes down somewhere around ~7 minutes.
Also remember that you don't have to know exactly what the P doing every single game. The difference in how you defend a x gate push or an x-1 gate blink stalker push usually isn't all that different for example.

Is there an efficient way to put some workers on auto-repair? I find it a very waste of apm to manually right-click autorepair, for example when repairing several thors/turrets against mutas or alike

Assuming your repair key is R, the way to toggle autorepair is alt+R.

In the current state of PvP, is it true that 4 gate > x gate + 1 stargate (if they get stargate first before 2 addition warpgates) > xgate + robo?
I'm having a really hard time scouting certain builds, because if I open gate/stargate/gates I die even to a delayed 2 gas 4 gate, but when I open robo myself I sometimes get hard countered by phoenix harass and the eventual timing push.
I'm not saying this is 100% true for all my PvPs, but for the vast majority of them this seems to be the trend.

At what game time should a perfect four gate hit? I've been looking through liquipedia and a few guides and, while they all show a build order, none show time.
I just want to know if my timing is getting close to what a pro might do.

An economic 1 gas 10 pylon 12 gateway 4gate has gateways open at 5:55 with 1 Zealot, 1 Stalker, 1 Sentry in existence. At 6:00 it warps in 3 stalkers and 1 zealot (usually). This unit composition is subject to change. I consider this to be the slowest 1-gas warpgate, as it makes 26 probes.
A Korean 4 warpgate rush can finish warpgate as early as... 5:10 if it really doesn't care about making any other units. If you make a stalker or something, it will come much later. However, because you only mine 50 gas, you will only be able to make zealots. this type of 4gate is rarely seen outside of PvP.

Sorry if this is too vague, but is there a certain time that terran players should stop making SCVS? Or is it relative to what the individual build one is going for?
|
I have been watching pro player streams for a the past week and I notice they all manually select all their workers with their mouse. Maybe the time saved is insignificant on the grander scale of things but, isn't it faster to select all workers at the beginning of the match with Alt+F1? Does anyone else use this method at the beginning of the match or is it just me? xD

You can adjust the total amounts based on how often engagements are happening. For example, in a fast paced TvZ with tons of drops and pushes, you want a higher scv count because you don't need the supply cap and you want the extra income. In a turtley TvT, you don't need as many, as you want the extra supply for more units.

Some players have different techniques is all. Yes some are better than others but in the larger macro game the initial worker split will be pretty insignificant. If a player is going for a cheese or very crucial timing build then you might see them go for the intense splits.
The most prominent (and hardest to pull off) split is alt-F1, right click mineral patch, build worker, select right group, send to right side, select left group, send to left side (must be done before workers reach initial harvest command).
|
Odd I use the alt+F1 method but what I do is click a mineral patch between 2 patches and select the bottom most group of workers and direct them to another patch that between 2 patches but the lower end of the mineral line, then queue up my worker. So in a nutshell I get a perfect split each time with workers mining on the outer patches.

Ok, so i know zerg is a macro focused race, and terran is micro focused. What is the focus of protoss?

If marines are in the same control group as other units, lets say a raven for example, the stim command is nullified by the presence of this other unit. Is there any way to over ride this or do u just have to exclude raven from control group or use the tab function(which i find awkward). This has burnt me one too many times in hectic engagements..

There's no way around it as far as I know. As you said, you'll have to exclude the raven from the group/selection or use the tab function.

I couldn't find a "SC2 General : Simple questions, simple answers", so sorry for the wrong thread (at least, I'm not opening a new thread)
Can someone give me the link to the hilarious featured thread that looked like : "My absolutely real day of practice" where the OP pretended to be some uber SC2 player with over 9000 points? And that scrub Thorzain asks for some build orders? I coulnd't find it in the research bar (nor could I find the appropriate thread to post this question)
Thanks!
