Or did they nerf the Void Ray so that is not good at all nowadays ? yah in gsl, one terran got pwned straight up by VR rush because he mostly just had marauders (and rallied new marines to their death :/)

thankyou Building one Missle Turret isn't over reactionary. You should have an Engineering Bay anyway for upgrades.
Ok. that sounds fine, as it may help when unwanted DT shows up as well. Now, the logical follow up question: where do I put this one turret? At the top of my ramp at the front door? Or at the middle of the mineral line betw the CC and the minerals?
ty. cheers.

The end goal for most stealth harass is workers, so the line tower is your best bet if you're only building one. This will deter banshees, mutas, and DT's (in small numbers).

If you're a zerg player, at the start of the game: Should you make your drone first, or send your first drones to the minerals first?
The reason I ask is unlike protoss or terran, zerg must select a larvae first before doing it, which takes slightly longer.

why do pros try to retreat units when they can't instead of just letting them attack and at least soften up the other guy's army? probably just a mistake/focusing on other things, right? sometimes they do use it to ambush with their other units but i mean, i lol every time a terran tries to retreat a thor back. has a thor EVER escaped from a battle without jumping on a medivac?
like an example in the gsl semis: protoss move commands his units back, one stalker gets absolutely stuck, but it keeps trying to escape to its death, when it probably could've taken out a few zerglings at least

Clicking SD or S or E doesnt make that much of a difference.
Make drone 1st, then send drones to mine.

Simple(Newb) Question:
I have a group of marines and some medivacs in one ctrl group(let's say I used ctrl group 1). I load all marines into medivacs til they are full but have a couple left on the ground. I then select just the medivacs and press ctrl+1 to overwrite my ctrl group and turn it into just the medivacs. I notice when I start moving the medivacs, the marines on the ground keep following them even though they are not bound to the same ctrl group.
How do I do the above properly/easily without having the marines follow the medivacs?
Thanks!

It's because your marines are still trying to get into the medivac. Since you probably boxed all your marines to try to load. Just select your marines and move them a hex away and they will stop trying to follow it. There is probably better ways, but that's how I do it.

I think they are macroing when they retreat.

Yes, I agree. If anything, starting the worker before splitting is more important for zerg than it is for T/P. The other two races have idle nexus/CC time at 9 and 15 respectively, zerg should never be at 3 larva.

What do i build against a blink stalker rush ZvP? pure speedlings is too larva inefficient, roaches don't do too well against stalkers.

What is the best way to respond to voids/phoenix/zealot?
My hydra army was eaten alive.

is MMR matchup dependent? (i.e. against T, Z, or P do I have a single MMR?)

Roach/hydra. Roaches to soak up damage while hydras kill everything.

It takes quite a while to build up a lot of blink stalkers, so you can expand and place an extra hatchery if you need more larva. Also, upgrades are good for speedlings. If you're facing a ton of blink stalkers then infestors are kind of obvious.

Roach buffer ftw? Target-fire voids & Phoenix with Hydras?

What finger do pros use to press ctrl for setting a control group ?
|
Why exactly zerg needs more expansion than other races?
If zerg units are cheaper, why they need more money? I know they are no cost effective but if they are really cheeper than terran/protoss units, then they should not need more money and thus not more bases.
They need larva, i know that, but why they just dont build them inside existing base?

When going banshee/viking in TvP, - How much starports can you support on 2-3 bases? - What should be your reactor/tech lab ratio?

I had lings/hydra. He just graviton beamed all the hydras I had.
Is the best response to just have more units?
