Oh dear, I've only made a few maps. Also, does the wide ramp into the nat have to be the only entrance?

  • is there any stipulation about having rocks or other augments?
  • to clarify.. main and nat?
  • if so, is a 2wide ramp sufficient for the main?

  • The wording in the topic sent is a bit ambiguous.
    Topic for challenge: wide ramp for main and natural.

    (Designers would have to come up with some creative way to make the map safe and balanced. ...)

I'm assuming since it's a "remake" and not an "edit", we're not allowed to take the existing made map and modify it, aka we have to completely start from scratch.

but it didn't end up turning out all that similar. Not sure if that matters or not for the contest.

FFE is pretty easy from the top of the choke to the rocks (if looking at the southern spawn), pylon + 2 buildings does the trick.

Hope you guys like it! or at least find something interesting in it.

What I imagined was people building upon and improving one of their previous ideas. I don't think the method is as important as the result, so it's up to you whether you want to start from scratch or alter an existing map. Just keep in mind that map jams are about challenging yourself and thinking differently, so although you could just do a small change to an old map, it kind of contradicts with the reason you decided to participate in the first place.

I think the idea was that you were supposed to remake one of your own old maps, not any old map.

I feel stupid about this that I got in :'/ But it is really not the best topic, if it have something to do with what you made earlier, but not able to participate if you are new....Maybe I should had just post the map I made last week with just making wide ramps. Thought that you just have to make a remake of an older map. Looks like my english isn't good enough to understood what it meant.... Wondered more why others didn't understood about the first one tho...

Alpaca I think it's great you remade a ladder map since you didn't have a previous map of yours to edit. This is the spirit of the map jam, finding creative solutions. I wish I'd have thought of editing a ladder map cause I struggled to find a map of mine that I wanted to redo for the jam.
