This looks like a whirlwind - TDA - khaydaria merge map, looks good! but I do wonder how hard will it be for Protoss to take a 3rd here, seems like a lot of room to cover. Also, I would love to playtest it as well, hope it will be in EU soon.

Working on getting the map on EU so you can try it out for yourself though!

this map is solid and very nice. these kinds of 4p rotational are what really make me smile. because they have that optional 3rd that really works.

Just played. This map is soooo good.

Bump!
This map deserves more attention! Please tell me that you've entered it into every possible map-making contest or whatever possible!?!? Also, is uploading it on EU still planned? I really want to beat my friends on this here
Edit: Apparently there are no map-making contests going on right now, but there should be just so this map can win them!

Looks somewhat similar to ESV Ithaca. Did you draw inspiration from that?
I like it!

I don't know of any lol
Maybe there will be something soon. I agree this map should get more attention.

Never heard of that map before, and upon taking a look at it, is completely different from my map.... o_o The only similarity is that they're both 4p rotational maps, which is about as vague as you can get..

Yes, EU uploading is still planned. I need to get in touch with my potential EU uploader to see how that's coming. You can also be rest assured that this map will be entered once there's a new Map of the Month contest.

Added a link to the OP for people to rate the map on SC2Melee.net! Also, apologies to the EU folks, I don't have the map up on your server yet. T_T;; It's gonna come I swear!

Seems pretty good. The proportions and ramp sizes in the middle sections might be a bit constricting. Here and there maybe a minor adjustment in proportioning would be good, but the map's pretty nice. It's got an interesting structure but it's pretty solid.

I'm not too worried about the ramps leading into the centre as there are also very viable flanking opportunities, should one utilize the connecting terrain from the middle ring's high ground pods. You can get a very considerable concave if you're looking to bust up into the centre. I specifically designed those ramps to be a "soft" position to hold, so having centre control has some value without being overwhelming (such as is the case on a map like Antiga Shipyard).

Khalani Sanctuary Version 1.2 has been released! The map is now published on NA and SEA, and will be arriving shortly to EU and KR once the Wings of Liberty 2.0.4 patch is live in those regions. The map has been completely refreshed and is updated to make use of the new features available in WoL 2.0.4, such as screenshots and patch notes inside the Battle.net client.
Also to note, the map is officially branded as part of the Galaxy eSports map pool.
v1.2 Patch Notes
Balance
- Increased width of ramps to high-ground middle bases in response to immortal/sentry all-ins
- Altered destructible rocks near low-ground middle bases to allow better army movement and harassment opportunity
- Added line of sight blockers to key positions on the map
Terrain
- Adjusted low-ground middle bases to be more aesthetically pleasing
- Adjusted main base cliffs to look more natural
- Map has undergone a complete aesthetic overhaul, with improved texturing, completely-redone doodads and altered lighting
General
- Added new Battle.net map info features, including patch notes and screenshots
- Replaced neutral lowered supply depots with new neutral unit: unbuildable bricks (destructible)
- Updated map name from "Khalani Sanctuary" to "Galaxy - Khalani Sanctuary" to make it easier to search for Galaxy eSports maps on Battle.net

Update looks really clean + nice. Hoping this map picks up traction.

It's like a mixture of Sanctuarium and Whirlwind.. good alterations, and a nice clean map!

Never seen Sanctuarium before, IronMan. Very interesting! 4p 16-base rotational maps in general are gonna have few key similarities, though.

Sanctuarium was a pretty old MotM winner if I remember correctly?

I'm going to go ahead keep wondering how these layouts aren't boring yet. This map is just another on top of the heap of maps that only feature nodes around the perimeter of the map. This is almost different but nothing new is going to occur on this map that hasn't already on others similar to it. Id be rather disappointed if this map hit any tournament map pool, waste of a spot for a new map. Sure, this might do it a bit better than whirlwind but the concepts are still already old. Its supposed to be 'out with the old and in with the new', not 'out with the old and in with the same'.
